    The engineeriong preset I mentioned above is 0.15, which seems to be the sweetspot. Once I've done my prototyping I'll do more testing, I'm mainly just exploring the Cura presets :)

    Good folk of bit-tech, a little assistance if you please.

    I have a smallish part of a friend's childcare gear that I need printing, I have a reasonable mockup in STEP format, could someone take a look and advise if it's vaguely on the money for firing off to a printer? Also, what would you advise for the smoothest surface finish in terms of settings?

    It's effectively a lid. There are only 2 critical dims in the part, so there's actually quite a lot of flexibility if required. One is the central hole diameter (which I'll be able to drill manually) and the other is the inside diameter of the underside, as it clips over a ledge.

    Doesn't look too bad, I've chucked it into my slicer only a 42m print on my Bambu X1C, I'll waz it out once its finished its current print and let you know how it comes out.

    Just noticed your post date lol, let me know if you want one.


    Had my Bambu x1c I think a month and its approaching 750hrs of printing time lol.

    i just made the jump from chitu to lychee yesterday, holy **** its like night and day to the point where trying out the trial for lychee pro is seriously making me want ot put down money for it.
