Ah it drew me back which is odd as it is pretty same old same old.
Anyway have finally got a decent weapon a Socom M1A which makes the mini bosses a little easy. As with most came that have crafting, abilities, perks etc I invariably do not have a clue what to do or in fact what most of them mean, so I stumble though usually by doing nothing more than using a weapon that has better overall stats than the one I am currently using. Would love to find a decent handgun which I tend to use for the foot soldiers.

You can get a nice pistol when hitting level 30 called the Damascus. It should be in the crafting menu after completing the game (I think)

By the time and if I even reach level 30 the pistol will be of little use as I will have probably ceased playing the game. I want something now. I have the above rifle along with the police m4 are usually a good combo but let down by the pistol.

As I say getting to level 30, I am at 15 now, is a big ask, when I have Doom or will have once I redeem from the mobo purchase and Just Cause 3 waiting in the wings.

That's a good setup the M4 and the SOCOM, I used that till level 30. Once you hit level cap, if you're not using an SMG then you're playing the game wrong.

I wish they would update the weapons so that they all play a different part and so the SMG isn't the go to weapon.

    Gone back to D3

Well title says it all really, had enough of Division for now, got to 30, got a 2nd char to 30, farmed pheonix creds, ran out of mats, farmed them, got the usuall mmo farming boredom, D3 does all that but faster loading times, faster missions, the wait time between enabling matchmaking and to actually getting into the mission with a bunch of miscreants is enough time for me to open up starwars galaxies on my phone and play a light side mission, or two. yeah its my free time there pal, so i am off until they sort that out. maybe...

to mitigate i dont think there is any regional net code, as i have played with all sorts of nationalities at any time of the day, no wonder it takes over 2-3 minutes to join missions.:wallbash:

The Socom M1A is a great weapon and not before time.

Managed to finally do an incursion last night with randoms. Took about 30 minutes which really isn't bad and actually had a lot of fun with it.

You want some sort of 1911 variant. Good stopping power without being to unwieldy. I had a revolver for a bit and while very powerful, it was slow and cumbersome and got me into trouble more times than it saved me. I'll check which one I have tomorrow and let you know.

Also be careful with the socom, although it's rate of fire is quite high for a rifle and it seems like you can let fly with a barrage of shots, subsequent shots fired quickly will be wildly inaccurate. If you view the reticule from 3rd person the left and right points shoot our sideways and it's not until they're centred again that the next shot will be accurate. Spend a little time letting off a few rounds from that view to get used to the timing so you don't waste ammo.

Sold my account and got doom with the money with change for pizza and beer. :thumb:

Hacking is still a massive problem and wasn't finding the game fun at all really.

How do I view the reticle from the 3rd person? I haven't played for about a week due to ill health but will certainly check up on your point at some point.

1.2 Patch is available to download.

    3.2Gb on PC

    4.5Gb on Xbox

Downloading now on both, will be interesting though to see how it performs after this patch on the pc.

biggest thing is a new incursion and new gear sets but they've attempted to make the rest of the city useful after hitting 30 by adding High Value Targets and Search & Destroy missions (available in safe houses once youv'e finished all encounters and side missions in that area).

Anyone experiencing massive slowdowns/laggy framerate on the map menu screen? The rest of the game works fine for me but this is just bizarre.

    On Xbone btw.

Can you go in the dead zone or whatever it is called as a single player?

M45A1 is the pistol I've got at the minute.

And yes you can, but you could die very quickly on your own.

Did quite a few of the HVT's with a few friends last night on the Xbox and dropped a shed load of 240 gear.

Ran around in the DZ on my own and got killed instantly by rogues as I tried to extract, then went back to kill them and got killed by 2 purple enemies, as the game has decided that I should be in the DZ201+ bracket regardless of my gear score.

The DZ is now fun in a group alot more fun but as a single player it's not worth bothering with.

    Patch 1.2 thoughts:

1: The DZ is WAY more fun with mates, The cutting of the rope and sheer cluster **** is comedy gold. However it has made the DZ more predatory as even the lowest level NPC's pack a massive punch. My advice is not to go in alone to the higher brackets and only extract in the last 20 seconds.

2: Loot! everwhere! Break down even 182 items as the sheer volume of 191/201/214/240 items are bananas. The loot caches in the DZ are jokes. The amount of DZ credits they give out make it an easy way to get large amounts of DZ cash easily.

3: Don't farm the DZ, Farm the HVT's With easy intel missions and pretty much a 95% chance of getting a teal item also phoenix credits added on this is a much better way to farm than doing the missions/DZ over & over again.

4: Clear sky is simple yet hard at the same time. Ive seen person's do it within 10 mins but without teamwork my first group was getting creamed. This is another way to farm, again much better than DZ/missions. I think challenge mode is gonna be an absolute bitch to do. But once everyone is over gear score 200+ it should become much easier.

5: The game is glitchy. I'm on Xbone and its kicked me once from the game & the map/menu screens slow down to a slideshow. I dont know what the issue is but they need to fix this quick as its annoying as hell given the fact this game required a player to constantly to look at an ingame menu.

What's the quickest way to level up without doing the myriad of boring missions like: Protect a supply drop, Disrupt an arms deal, release hostages etc etc? I think my next main mission is level 20 minimum I am 18.
