There are some awesome designs going on here
This thread oozes creativity!!
Well somehow my case managed to turn into this in the past day, Got sick of the old grey heatsink design on the door.
OK here's my work in progress. I actually plan on building this in the near future. I still have to sort out the front/top panels, sort out some of the internals (PSU and HDD brackets etc), add tubing and get the colour scheme right.
Pretty much how I would place a 3x120mm radiator (and HDDs). But the placement of the buttons is a novel idea. Nice one!
I couldn't find a place up front to mount them, so I thought it would be cool to have them on the side. I'm thinking of the position it would be on my desk, to my right.
Looking good dude love where your going with the front design
Dont know why but that switch placement just strikes me as pure genius any teasers on what colour schemes your considering?
Nexxo, are you playing with the Poll buttons again?
I agree with the majority on this one, I love the position of the buttons and the nice clean lines. Are you going for a glossy white colour on this.
@Scream - I would have kept the heatsink, and made it clear green. -What's with the 60mm fans BTW?
@StuartWood - Anything but white. It looks like a stove I just installed with the vents. You might as well chop out the unused drivebay area. That would make room for an obnoxious reservoir.
yep, not white, flip it and it would look like an oven hood with those fans!
Yeah, what's the point of having moderator powers if you don't abuse them.
Thinking of black and silver. Not too sure on internal lighting yet. Anything but blue.
I'll be using the bare metal as the accents, such as the part that will cover up the rest of the front panel. The main panels and frame will be black, probably powder coated if I build it.
The obnoxious reservior will be up top, with a massive top panel window, showing two containers for both loops. The idea behind this case, is that the radiator could be taken out, and replaced with an array of drives if necessary. The radiator will be mounted to these bays using some kind of bracket.
I'll play around with it. To be honest, I haven't been bothering with the colour cause I've been concentrating of actually getting the model built . Should be fun playing around with colour when I've finally finished.
Thanks for the feedback guys!
A top res will make life easier. The one I put on the 'toad is great. The only setback is that I should have put a drain on the very end of the pipe. I can't fully drain it because of the length of the pipe connector threads.
You also have the option of putting it out in front of the radiator. You could fix it so the rad and res come out as one part.
arg! i know what mine will look like finished i just can't get motivated to finish it! just doesn't feel good enough :-/ that and i barely have the time now with work getting busier and a 3 month old son to look after with my fiancee
Do you mean how come they aren't grouped to the side or what?
Waah? Nexxo, where is the Cheesecake option! WHERE!!!
Curse my disability to change votes >.<
Sacked the other design. How's this one?
