Well, I'm glad someone said it. I don't think much of T&A threads, "mixed messages" is a gigantic understatement - it's overtly sexually arousing, but not overtly sexual content. What the hell kind of a doublethink is that? If you want to be turned on, at least admit that to yourself, and go watch porn. It's not illegal, nobody will think less of you. You don't have to make excuses for yourself via the fact that it's on bit-tech and not a real porn site.

And I was very tempted to start a 'Studs' thread in response to this, actually. I would dare anybody to complain

I agree. The really sad thing is, people at least know that porn is messed up, whereas the fashion industry has managed to disguise itself as a reputable way of living.

edit edit - What the hell is WRONG with the internet? I thought you could find naked anything. I think my google-fu is weak. I can't find a single naked Cillian Murphy.

I'm not sure I buy into the concept of Bit as a "family forum".

We all rail against lowering everything to the lowest common denominator, so why should everything on the web have to be "family friendly"? This is a place for geeks, for people who love computers or photography, or serious discussion. It's not meant to be suitable for little Dick and Jane. I'm not saying we should become an "anything goes" environment, but I don't see the babe thread as being inconsistent with the Cit community.
