Teaser picture of the day:
I liked the pic of "bits all over the house" That's not half as bad as what I'm like ..... it's always a fine line to tread when you need your kit to hand and keeping the other half pacified.
Liking your project
just my luck that school leaves me with two hours pr day, without parents
just a small update today. I painted the mobo heatsink
Okay so a fair bit of progress. ive fallen in love with these casefeet.... Bill Owen makes them= awesome= out of my buget
some more bad news. my painting skills arent that good this is the mobo heatsink..... i will have to live with it.
i changed the skrews for the top exaust fans, these are way better.
I finaly got the cpu cutout made, it is not perfectly aligned but it will work.
testing to fit fancontroler
i also found a place for the hdd
the front mesh makes airflow no problem
its just mounted with a pice of sandet plexi
just two showoff pics here
i need a EK multioption 250 advance res so if you have one let me know
All feedback is appreciated
That is it for this update.
Noice! Will you be painting the interior? The steel looks a bit out of place IMO
not steel alu. but yes, well sort off i plan to use dinoc and paint to cover all the bad parts.
update later here is a teaser
first mount the pump to some plexi
then bend with heatgun
Cut to fit ing the case
holes drilled for mounting to the case
add some foam, skrews and some parts of a noctua holddown
First modding injury
some proper shots of the cablemanagement
and this is what makes it possible
one of the skrews goes thru the mobo tray and then in to the back of the standoffs
thats it for today
Lookin really good mate. Can't wait to see how it finishes
sadly its going to take a while....
first i made a template and found some nice mahogany
then cut and shape to fit in the case
i still need to remove some material to make room for the mobo tray, but i killed the cutter i before i could get to cutting it. so when i was ready to cut and it was up to speed i was showered in green plastic from the indside of the cutter....
And unless it is possible to use this pomp in vertical situation?
This pomp not self-soaking up, extremely isn't recommended to have its soaking-up union down as fast wear of an imeller and the bearing is possible.
Or I am not right?
well there will be a 250 mm res above so there will be some water pushing it self in to the pump. after all it is just a ddc and i have seen a few with the pump on the side
I am sure you know that you do, good luck
Lol i dont know anything about pumps
What is up with that double bottom fan on the radiator?
im just using the shroud to get a more organic feel
midpate is now done here are the cornersto make room for the skrews that hold the case
masking off where to cut
got some more masking tape
final cut with the tape
and no tape
its not perfect but good enougth
The ATX 24-pin cables and SATA cables: I would make holes right next to the MoBo, so they go to the other side by the egde of the motherboard, in my opinion that would look way cooler
I have an impression that now the cables itself attract too much attention
But besides, the whole project looks great
And if I can suggest something more, think about good lighting to expose the facture of the mahogany
