UK: Series of Explosions throughout London

i doubt any device could be gotta in Live 8 or the G8 summit, although i do belive this attack on London which is currently one of the most secure cities in the world is a message to the leaders of the world at the G8

and i was just stating fact. there are a lot worse ways to go than instantly.

Well none of the news channels are reporting it so I'll be taking those apparent bombs with a pinch of salt.

Brighton and Swindon were evacuated for reported 'security incidents' NOT bombs going off.

 

I'm following this tragedy from Italy and it reminds me of that ugly 11/9....

I feel bad and disgusted....

 

Latest from BBC: "Islamist website carries message claiming responsibility for London attacks." - i think we'll see alot of groups stakign claims to this, which si even more sickening.

The bus attack seems odd, only one death formt he bus, but it was clearly blown apart? so i dont belive it was an intended target? perhaps it was intended for another tube station?

 

i reckon that is the case too, he looked pretty distraught.

there wasn't two more bombs, there were security alerts and they decided to close the stations before something DID happen.

 

Been watching live bbc news on the net since before 11:30, seen nothing of the sort.

i don't think it's time to speculate. Deal with the facts being presented by the news. I know they don't know everything but i know for fact the BBC has dragged everyone in from every department that could help to find out what's going on.

My father works for BA and planes have been grounded and landings have been stopped @ London Airports!

Other members on this paticular board are also noting a large amount of circling aircraft.

 

I would very much doubt this is due to to Olympics announcement, as these things generally require some level of preperation.

Though you never know.

I would assume the attack was on London due to the G8 summit being held in the UK, so therefore creating a greater impact, the worlds eyes are on the UK so the timing is about right.
This way they can spread terror accross the globe, the dead are a mear side effect of what they wish to achieve (the spread of terror).

Actually, its a mates father at work that lives near there that just let us all know. And If the moderators are supposed to remove all posts that might start a flame war, MiNiMaL_FuSS's post above is a good ove to remove. the language is very confrontational, and uncalled for.

 

group of 5 choppers just went over my house in norfolk.

alot of choppers go via the coast

EDIT: another 5 since i posted this....more people being flown in to help perhaps!

 

G8 would probably mean less of a Security watch on London.
