Green Day at Wembles this weekend with the older one plus a load of rather decent chicks on BMXs shpanging geetaarrs (although doubt they're going to be riding them on stage. Bikes, not geetarrs). Should be different to a day at work.

Have already cleared the band dalliance (as we'll call it) with the boss just in case a superstar rock chick spots me in the crowd. Haven't sorted babysitter though.

    This.

I bought it on vinyl. I had absolutely no idea what it was like, nor did I do what I normally do and download a rip after having bought the record. I figured I would surprise myself. The clue was in the location on the bus. It is a legendary hardcore rave club from the late 80s and early 90s.

Which is exactly what the music is like. Very early Prodigy sound, and absolutely bloody fantastic. Listened to the first record three times last night, will get onto the other one once the shopping has arrived. Superb. Another surprise was it is transparent purple vinyl too. I wondered why it felt heavy.

Yeah, but EVERYONE has Dark Side. I have at least 3 copies, vinyl, cd, and one from an abandoned box set. -Pretty sure I've given one away at some point. Tapes don't count 'cause I had that and 8 track of it as well.

    Didier needs more love.

I only have two: original vinyl and Super Audio CD.

I do not, however, have an SACD player...

I do not. Yet more proof that I am not real and do not exist.

If Futurama teaches us anything, it’s that alternative, parallel universes, can be accessed by jumping into a box. Just keep jumping into boxes, until you find yourself in this reality…

Pretty sure it's where they debuted about 30-odd years ago. They're local to us so always been a fan but not so keen on the newer stuff, sadly - think they lost their way a bit. However, I wasn't aware of this one so will check it out!

Yeah I think you could be spot on tbh. At the time there were not many rave based clubs or venues. Sterns was the other one (big mansion in Worthing). When I went to the 4 aces it had been changed (the name) to something else. And I may have very little recollection of it due to MDMA.

Deffo give it a listen. It is absolutely nothing like their recent stuff.

I do remember Stern's from the flyers and the record counter chat, although never got the chance to abscond that far to check it out. House on the Hill was the other big one, from (limited) memory and then it just started to be club nights round here not long after - Bagley's and the Scala and the like (but they were dodgy as hell). Palace Hotel in Southend too, but that was smaller and slightly less ravey, more junglist, so only a few of us would get down there.

    Ah, man. Good times.

Been piling into these chicks since Saturday's gig but will get the Prodigy's effort up shortly .

The Labrynth. That was what it was called when I went there. Or rather, Club Labrynth.

I haven't even made it to the second record without being bitten by the ear worm :D

The song "We Live Forever" has gotten me. I am just absolutely addicted to it. The part where the Vocoder kicks in "ever, forever, forever forever" makes my scalp shrink and gives me goose bumps.

    What an absolute fooking BANGER.
