    I got my watch back:

It went in for a warranty repair just before lockdown hit so it's been away for three months. And to think in all that time I've been timing things on my phone like a normal person

Date would not work out with social distancing. Rare to run into someone who has the same fetish so social distancing is not going to happen.

Had my first big live "virtual event" today - an interview and followed by an open panel discussion with some industry peers.

I'm not stranger to speaking at "real" events, and done loads of smaller scale live virtual stuff or recorded things, but for some reason I was acutely aware of all of the different ways this in particular could go south logistically and otherwise, in ways a physical or recorded thing couldn't - for thousands live, and of course recorded for all to see forever more.

All went swimmingly! I didn't say anything to get me fired, my internet didn't break, I didn't forget I was on camera and start picking my nose, and nobody walked in in their underpants. So I call it a success.

Yeah, well, by the time I broke free from those shackles finding underpants was the least of my concerns.

Just had an offer accepted on a new house and we've accept an offer on ours! Though now comes the post to the other thread as I start the unending pain that is dealing with the property lawyers again.

TeamViewer for remote controling my parents PC in NZ to resolve a new network printer/scanner/AIO installation...

...that said, it turned out that having both wi-fi direct and wi-fi turned on simultaneously caused the Windows 10 scanner driver to not detect it on the network (so no port), thank god for WhatsApp so she could show me the little LCD screen on the printer which showed the problem.

Only took an hour and 15 minutes...longest printer callout I have ever had.

Working on a migration script for the site and it seems to be nearing the end for the trickier bits. There's still a lot to do but it's coming along.
