It's been a sh-- couple of years for live music and bands need your support more than ever. The UK is smaller than you think, chances are that you live near another forum member who'd probably want to go to the same gig that you're going to. So. Which bands are you going to see? What have you got tickets for? What gigs are you really hyped for? I'll start us off...

Don't go to music gigs anymore, they don't do for me what they did when I was younger. Mainly it's just comedy gigs nowadays, mind you Bill Bailey and Tim Minchin are both musical. Mind you those were several years ago now. Edit: That said next time we go back to NZ we want to time it for the The Matatini Kapa Haka festival, watched it when living down there on TV - looks like a great time.
Texas in a couple of weeks Stormzy in April, gift for my nephew Bastille the following week Deacon Blue in May The Killers in June Alanis Morissette Greenday Red Hot Chilli Peppers The Script in July Coldplay in August most were rescheduled from last year and the year before.
Max Cooper live AV in April Bob Moses in November Hopefully I can throw in an Easter festival (awakenings or DGTL) and Amsterdam Dance Event in October into the mix.

I appear to still have tickets for The Ocean, best check if I'm owed money for that. NIN at Eden Project. And Arctangent festival tickets that have been carried over for 2 years now.
Ditto. Popping round the corner next week to see Rich Hall. The wife forbid me to buy front row tickets for some reason still it's only a 300 seater venue so should be cosy.
Of the few I've fancied booking in the last few months, all have been cancelled! Absolutely gutted to say the least. In December I've got Lamb of God - they were supposed to be around in early 2020 (I think March or April?), but it's been postponed 3 times since then. Last one was And So I Watch You From Afar's anniversary tour in Bristol, absolutely fantastic and first gig for 2 years.
I've heard of two of those acts - Lightning Sharks and Rivers of Nihil - and have only actually heard the latter.
I just typed Lighting Sharks into Youtbe. From what I could make out, it was just some bloke screaming into a mic. V.similar to white noise.
Just bought a ticket for God is an Astronaut in Leeds in case any other BT'ers are going, should be a great gig.
InFlames in London towards the end of the month! VERY excited. Also, Defqon and Download hopefully in June.
So... Sabaton & The HU are postponed until....? Gojira & Alien Weaponry are postponed until next year. Bloodywood are postponed until next year... My list grows smaller and smaller! But today I did just book tickets to go see Evil Scarecrow in town (The Globe) at the end of the month, and that hasn't been postponed so far! I've only heard a couple of songs here and there before now and I've never seen them live. They look like a hell of a lot of fun live so I'm glad it's in a smaller venue!
<performs forbidden rituals to resurrect the thread> Carpenter Brut - O2 Arena, Bristol: 6th November 2022 (yes, this Sunday) The Hu - Students Union Great Hall, Cardiff: 2nd December 2022 (they were supposed to be supporting Sabaton, but got their own headline tour!) Gojira & Alien Weaponry - Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff: 17th Feb 2023 (rescheduled) Sabaton - Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff: 20th March 2023 (rescheduled) Bloodywood - The Fleece, Bristol: 29th March 2023 (rescheduled) I think that's everything I've booked... Pertubator are also playing Bristol next weekend, but it's a tw@ of a trip back on a Sunday, so I won't be doing that unless I know anyone else going who's willing to give me a lift back . Heilung are also playing Brixton O2 Academy in January, and I would absolutely love to see them, but... it's a lot of expense. Tickets are £50ish before I even set foot out the door; I'm not going to want to drive back afterwards, and staying overnight is going to make it very expensive indeed. I missed this when you posted this! I haven't heard that much by And So I Watch You From Afar, but what I have heard I really like! Can confirm: Evil Scarecrow were so much fun to see live. It really was good to see them in a smaller venue.
