I haven't seen it mentioned, so: The latest Wolfenstein game can now be preordered on Steam, which also includes the beta (when released) for the upcoming Doom. Preordered. Because I'm an idiot who didn't learn from Colonial Marine. And X Rebirth. And Duke Nukem Forever.
I preordered it too, got it for £22 or so with a code from Game. I quite liked the last one and I loved Doom 3 & Resurrection of Evil
Love the wolfenstein games. 1st ever online gaming was RTCW. Rarely ever pre-order so I think I'll wait.
Got a chance to preorder this and Evolve for £19.50 each. Kinda tempted due to the OTT trailers for Wolfenstein thus far!
Looking forward to this, does not serm to be much on the horizon for us action/FPS gamers so hoping this will fill the void.
Not pre-ordering it as I don't believe Bathesda will do a decent job with it, but will keep my eye on it. I want access to the Doom beta so hopefully there is another way to get on it without pre-ordering Wolfenstein.
Hmmnnnn, part of me is looking forward to this as I enjoyed both previous Wolfenstein games but I was less than impressed with Doom BFG from Bethesda (still haven't got that to run yet, need to spend time on that) and I'm wary that it might be a pig to get running. I'll wait and see before buying, I gave up on pre-order games a while back as there are too many times in recent history where it looks like the suits behind the game are relying on pre-review sales to hide the botch job they've made of a potentially good game.
Just an update to say you can now preload it on Steam and play it tomorrow! I'm going to wait until the weekend.
Are there collectables in this game? Haven't' played for long but have not come across anything bar map pieces.
That's the Rage engine for you - all those lovely megatextures. FYI, for anyone running SLI, there's a beta patch available that has SLI support. I've yet to install them but I will once I've managed to download the HUGE install.
