I've installed from the discs, however steam is still downloading 12GB of stuff despite the installed files being 45GB
Unfortunately it appears the PC edition has a few teething problems and the infamous Mega Texture Pop In (TM) is prevalent (I haven't played it yet, just according to tech sites). Make sure your GPU drivers are the very latest releases chaps! Edit: it appears AMD GPUs are having more trouble than Nvidia for this game.
Yes there are collectables. http://www.gameranx.com/updates/id/...bles-guide---gold-items-enigma-codes-letters/
So how is the game going guys? I'm looking to get this on pay day and need to know if it's worth getting excited over
So far not impressed. I am currently playing this and Dead Space 3 which I started Monday for another play through and I tend to play Wolfenstein briefly before drifting back to DS3. Something is missing from Wolfenstein, I am not sure that it is running as as good as I would like. I get a bit of flickering whilst looking around, nothing major but noticeable all the same. I haven't played much, little more than the first level but so far it has not gripped me as DS 3 is again. But early days I suppose.
Dude, I haven't even started playing the game yet and just by looking at the key binding menu I can tell you it's 'x' Well, 337.81 drivers are now installed. I'm ready!
I've been playing this the past 2 evenings and to be honest. I'm geniunely enjoying the game, the gunplay is intense and fast paced. The plot is pretty funny actually yet whilst remaining very dark. The notes/collectables and whatnot are great and well hidden. The detail in the game like discovering the odd bloody hammer next to corpses is chilling. I'm ok with the price I paid. For once I dont have buyers remorse on a bethesda game.
Yeah, That's a big factor for me (and obviously others) can't really complain at that amount of data if that's what it takes to make a quality game but d/loads that big are a real pain, not everyone has fast b/band I'm capped at 50GB a month with a max 12mb connection and it costs over a pound per GB if I exceed that amount. I have to d/load big games at night when the d/load isn't added to my monthly allowance but if the d/load isn't completed at night and I have to pause it then it can cause problems when trying to get the d/load to restart and it has screwed up the whole d/load on occasions, Oh for the days of full games on discs
My son got this for the 360, a great game for him so far, however it has come with 4 discs but only needed to use 2 of them for the install? not sure yet what the other 2 are for
It took an hour and a half to download but the Mrs was watching a film in bed preventing me from a Nazi killing spree
had a quick blast and seems ok, pretty old school where there is no life regen and you have to look for health and armor which i quite like, so far im finding it a bit easy on middle difficulty so may start again on a harder setting
