I think you failed to understand something: modding is a hobby. It's not his career, he isn't making money from it. He does projects (most notably this one) as a side thing, just like any hobby. Stop pressuring him, he has things to deal with before he can think of modding.

Sorry, but you are wrong. Zap has been contracted to mod a shuttle for AMD and ATI for use at shows. It helps to keep up with all fo Zap's life :worried:

I know. That's one project that he is doing because he is so acclaimed for his work. But the rest of his projects are a hobby. Nobody makes him do it.. he does it for fun.

Indeed, but the ATI project is my first commercial project.
I will probably only take on projects that a requested of me, as I don't want to get bogged down with it as another job.
(The ATI PC is already taking hours a night anyways)

But up until now all my projects have been with my own money.
My next personal project, the laser pc, has many sponsored parts, but still has tons of my own money invested into it.

I may try to hit up ATI to see if I can upgrade the media PC to something more, but it's far from my mind right now.

Ehm... Zap already chopped up an Ipaq, and is using it to control the MediaPC. And he won a Lasercutter for his AmmoCase LanPC. Besides, I think he knows what he is doing. If it runs on electricity, Zap can chop it up and turn it into something awesome.

I wish this project would be continued..

why is it that this thread of choc full of posts that have NOTHING to do with the project and/or ask the same questions repeatedly? At least two thirds of the pages in this thread are full of crap.

There should be a forum which is heavily pruned which allows the modder himself to post and that is it.

Thanks for the link to the LCD.
Those touchscreen models are expensive, but I plan on using one in a car PC later.

This project isn't dead yet, but it's on hold until I get back to it.

If everyone refuses to reply to stupid questions with anything other than :search: or :read: then the number of stupid questions would be drastically reduced and people might *gasp* read the thread!
