I bet you have to be emailed the price because it'll cause heart attacks. That's a hell of a pen, I could never justify the purchase but it's gorgeous!
Precious resin, white gold barrel and rhodium nib. Still not worth $24k, but that's the art markup I guess.
Ahh you know you are on a forum for geeks when a thread about pens are not only viable but not very surprising XD Personally I use parker pens, cannot afford using anything more fancy so I have been using parker the last ten years, was even given a parker pen/pencil set with my name engraved.
My pair of Otho Tasches on an A6 note pad for scale. They both open out to normal size roller ball and pencil. Lovely to write and draw with
Seriously, if you're ever in New York, go and visit these guys - they're downtown, not far from Wall Street IIRC. Serious, serious pen porn - and the people who work there couldn't have been more friendly and helpful (got my wife a 1920's Parker for our wedding anniversary).
Me too - a Parker fountain was my pen of choice until I left school, so much nicer writing all those essays etc with a non-ballpoint. Once maths was the only language a biro was more appropriate though, too paper-hungry with a fountain, unless you want a blotchy mess. I reckon I'll snag one of those Ti pens, that review has convinced me! Although not just yet, £50 feels a bit steep for now.
I use the slim silver aluminium Parker Jotters for pretty much everything. Easy to get hold of, cheap, work well, but still look better than showing up to a meeting with a biro.
Get the Ti pen Krikkit! I have been looking at them for ages but I just wouldn't use it. I hate Moleskine, the paper is awful for fountain pens! Can anyone recommend a leather bound A4-ish sized 100GSM notepad?
