    A mini-chimping team event - I'm up for it again! Need to reboot the Dells anyway next time I'm in the office as it all appears to have gone t!ts up - bloody users probably stopped them folding to use them for real work - how inconsiderate of them :D

    So what name have we settled on then - CustomPC?

    Craig...

    Code:
    Hello CustomPC:

    Your Folding@Home Client passkey is:
    3cd25ab494b729154d98c5c2505b7acd

    Your username is:
    CustomPC

    Please use this to activate your client.
    Thankyou,
    Folding@Home Team

    I've changed over 4x Linux A2 clients which will have completed the requisite 10x A2 WU's (for bigadv bonus qualification) by Friday lunchtime with this passkey.

    I'd suggest others not bother configuring with this passkey, just change the username to "CustomPC", except on any clients that are running bigadv, in which case you should use it.

    Code:
    [settings]
    username=CustomPC
    team=35947
    passkey=3cd25ab494b729154d98c5c2505b7acd

    Nice one mate :D

    Will get swapping on Friday then, my new kit needs to hurry up and arrive!...

    When you get 5 mins Clive would you be so kind as to write me a bit of a mini-guide on how to get wine working on Ubuntu x64 so I can fold on GPU's as well?

    Ive seen the guide on how to get the SMP client working on Linux but what other extensions/settings do I need for these big PPD projects for my i7? -smp8 and -bigadv?

    Many thanks for you help :thumb: :thumb:

    Well, there's the rub. I don't use Ubuntu, so I'm the wrong person to be asking to write a guide for it. ;)

    Choice a) do as phoenicis did (Ubuntu) using the guide on Stanford and the wiki he referenced. I'll jump in if you get stuck and try to figure out what the problem is.

    Choice b) install Fedora 11 x86_64, I'll gather up all my extra rpms (180.60 nVidia driver, CUDA 2.1 toolkit, wine CUDA wrapper), into a compressed tar you can download.

    Yes, that's it. Though you probably want to add '-verbosity 9' for good measure.

    I can now provide about 34K! Cards received and installed Saspro, thanks :)

    I actually got them last night in case you think RM are slacking (again), but I got them in and folding at about 10 pm, went for a run then got back and collapsed into bed, I couldn't even be bothered posting on the forum :p

    I actually switched over most of my clients (CPU & GPU) yesterday afternoon, with the exception of the bigadv. Don't know if anyone else was also contributing yet, but we scored 63K PPD yesterday. CustomPC stats.

    PS. In approx 1hour from now we'll have completed 7x A2 WU's (out of the 10 we need on the passkey) for the bigadv bonus. I'll post when we have done the 10, but it'll be before Friday! ;)
