I have no idea what I should go for, do I go budget again and maybe splash out on a good lense or should I save and get something mid range.
What I didn’t know was that the D5s were the primary cameras for this mission, and that they’re nine years old. This article gives a good overview:...

My initial plan was to use my existing absolutely ancient DSLR, a Nikon D3200. I've been having a play, though, and the results... aren't good. Even with all the office lights on, the footage is grainy; there's no in-body stabilisation so it's shaky too. The only way I got anything half-decent was by using at least a monopod if not a...
I've had a Nikon D3200 for... a little over 12 years, apparently. £331.55 with 18-55mm kit lens in November 2013. I've used it for event coverage and it's been... acceptable, mostly. Not great, though. The product shots I can get out of it in the home studio are great, though, I love those. No complaints there.
She has no desire to own a PC and often used her mams 2012 MacBook Pro.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have an old EOS 1200D that has done me well with the stock 18-55 lense but just recently the auto focus has stopped working and the lense wont turn all the way without some notchiness so its either dirty or broken in my eyes.

Is there any lenses that are decent that aren't really expensive that I can use on it for now and continue to use on a newer camera in the future.

I need to edit my wife's pony trekking videos together and I'm wonder if there is any decent free video editing software out there.

The one that comes with windows 10 seems to be a bit restrictive unless I'm not doing things right.

Doesn't need anything fancy, just be able to cut sections out, add music and a few special effects.

About a year ago my DSLR died and other things have been higher priority than replacing it. The problem is, technology has moved on and it hasn't moved in a direction I like.

I have been using superzoom lenses since the film days (Tamron 28-300 followed by a Sony 18-250). I started in the Minolta ecosystem and have evolved to Sony, my last body being an Alpha 55. The problem is, that generation was the last...
