    Unfortunately, bittorrent is blocked, but most other things seem to work. You'll be surprised though, maxing out 200megs is tricky as some of the time the bottlenecking is server side :/

    Ah, I miss it. If you arrive a week before the rush you get get insane speeds :D all the torrents you need for life, sorted.

    02 20mb unlimited connection, £9 a month, about 3miles from exchange. Apparently a lot of high frequency noise somewhere along the line :sigh:

    I miss my uni connection, whole series of most tv shows could be mine within hours. Which i think was legal as it was broadcast material that someone recorded...

    Couldn't run from the birmingham one as the upload test kept returning errors.

    ISP : TalkTalk

    Technically the broadband is free, :D, as its included in the package, which is about £20 per month + line rental IIRC. But then I don't pay for it anyway, my dad does, :D.


    My friend at uni who is in halls gets awesome speeds too, he was maxing out 200MB/s on torrents, and filled up a 2TB of HDD space in about 2-3 weeks.:jawdrop:

    Very happy with my connection, pay for the 20mb virgin package. Dont care about the upload speed. Dont know the cost, we have the full bundle. I am still waiting for them to offer the 50mb service where I live

    I pay ~1200 INR which is the equivalent of about 25 USD or 15 GBP.

    All of you need to stop whining and wait for the third (second?) world to catch up :p

    Even though it says Earthlink I really have Time Warner. About $80 a month (but it includes HD cable with a DVR too).

    It's advertised as 10mbps downstream and 3 mbps upstream however at least on one occasion its downloaded at more then twice their highest advertised speeds; For instance I was downloading something rather large a while back; 7 or 8 gigabytes and it was downloading at 16/17 megabytes per second; or around 136mbps...

    we pay around $50 a month for internet and other fees...

    Virgin ADSL, 8MB unlimited + unlimited calls £18pm

    Unfortunately Inverness get's very bad choice for ISP's but I am surprised that I got that speed at 11:45pm, I should be on 512kbps right now as I downloaded GH:Greatest Hits the other day during peak times so I should be capped for the week :D

    With the Post Office Broadband, much better than when I was with Pipex (Tiscali/talktalk) where my upload speed was often > my download speed.
