    Thanks man!

I really think it's the compound that f'ed up the first clearcoats.
I will be buffing the frontpanel's clearcoat later on, i decided i'd let cure for a while.

Not at all, not at all.

All that work really paid of, the finish looks better now than before(could be the pictures, but now it seems to have more depth, a "richer" and more black finish).
And that drilled and sanded line looks like it is stock (meant as a good thing). The best mods in my opinion is those that makes everything look like it was there when the case was bought.
    Good work! :thumb:

What I meant was, that the box should have room for a top mounted radiator when stock. It was not a comment on your work.
    Hope thats sorted then....:hehe:

    Aaaah, i simply misunderstood.
Now you mention it, if the case had about 5cm more room in the top, a radiator+fans would fit.
    That would have been awesome!

    Really nice mod Agressions! :thumb:
I got one Define R2 of my own and i was really happy wiyh it until i bought a liquid cooling system. Too bad Fractal Design didnt leave a couple of centimeters at the top and in the front for radiators. Im going to remove the harddrivebay to fit a 240 rad in the front and put my hdd in a Scythe Himuro at the bottom of the case. It was really fun to see the first real mod of this case, you must be one of very few that owns this case outside of Sweden. Subscribed :)
Apologize if my english is too bad

Thanks man, i really appreciate it!
I believe I am the first one to mod the R2 indeed, if not; I'd like to be linked to the 1st one's worklog.

That said, I will be announcing a few new sponsors when I receive their stuff, but here's some teasers!

    I think your sponsor is:

    ThermoLab

And it looks like a "BARAM" =)

    Sponsor: ThermoLab

Damnit, I thought it would be a hard one to guess..
    Guess I was wrong...

    Here you go guys!

But yes, ThermoLab has agreed to sponsor this project with a BARAM aircooler.

    Congrats to the new sponsor!
I´m really looking forward tp the next update!
It would have been great if you built liquid cooling in your case, then I could have stolen some ideas ;)

    Haha, indeed!
Your idea about the 240 rad in the front (instead of the HDD-bays) sounds solid though!

Loving the mod. That front panel cut is very clean.

Wondering if you had any info on the fans, I was looking to buy some because they look great. I cannot seem to find if they are sleeve or ball bearing. Seeing as though you have your hands on the fans, and all the packaging etc I wonder if you know?

    What fans do you mean?
You mean the Fractal Design fans (I had 2 with the case)
    Or the Xilence fans?

That front slit you drilled turned out really nice considering you did it all by hand. So many builds I see now are all "I put the metal on the CNC, then installed the computer and thanked my sponsors."

The Xilence fans (i have 2 different ones) are sleeve bearing (140mm) and Hydro bearing (120mm Red Wing).

I don't have the packaging from the 2 Fractal Design (120mm) fans, but I pried one open for you and took a look. It's pretty much identical to the 140mm Xilence.
So, I'm pretty sure it's a sleeve bearing aswell.

    Thanks for the compliment.
I agree, eventhough I love seeing one of those mods every once in a while (DarkBlade and DBRS). I still like the "traditional" way of modding more.
