They're just teasing you to increase the anticipation

Let us know if you get an OLED or SLCD one when it eventually arrives.

I'm afraid at the idea of having to choose another phone though ... My friend got the Desire a few days before I ordered mine and we noticed he can't get a signal anywhere in uni whereas our old POS phones could. We spend half of our lives there so what's the point in a phone that's a brick 50% of the time.

The idea is to wait for mine to arrive and then test both phones to see if his is defective or if the Desire just sucks when it comes to reception

I hope his is defective... I honestly don't want any other phone. My only choices are a Hero, a Moto Backflip or the Moto Milestone (Droid). They're all old and just as expensive as the Desire so what would be the point of upgrading if I'm not 100% satisfied. I could also get an iPhone 4 for three times the price and a billion times the jailbreaking but I don't want to

Well, you'll have to try it when you recieve it, but personally my desire has significantly better reception than my previous (HTC touch diamond) phone.

    absolutely ! :D

I am still trying to figure how out to change the clock without changing the whole theme though. I think the original clock from HTC Sense is too big and it annoys me a little

Press and hold the clock widget then drag it down to 'Remove' at the bottom, then add a different one via the +, Widgets, Clock :thumb:

    'Given' eh?
    I'm intrigued...

The Galaxy S is what I'd buy if I didn't want a hardware keyboard

Work for a Mobile retailer and every now and then senior store managers we get given mobile phones. But I am actually enjoying. Just ran the battery down installing new apps and give it 8hours charge without turning it on and then give it another bash tomorrow

Thanks but the choices are quite poor and I'd like to keep the weather there as well. I'll keep looking

I have a desire too. Down load advanced task killer free to save on battery life.
3G watchdog to monitor data usage.
I've found the pre installed People app the best way to dial people as it doesn't duplicate phone, sim, facebook contacts.

You could give Beautiful Widgets a go, that has a smaller clock+weather widget that still looks decent (screeny below). Plus there's plenty of scope for fiddling in true bit style :D

iPhone needs a proper homepage with widgets! That's ace. You got a link to that image? Very cool.
