In the hunt for a new smart phone to replace my Omnia. So, Samsung Galaxy S vs HTC Desire, which would you go for?
Both aren't bad but for the feel I would go for the Desire but the Samsungs screen is simply just awesome as is quality pics
wow thanks ! I wasn't sure about the $2 (it's the first app I bought) but the choice of settings is huge. Impressive ! rep
The wallpaper is a crop from this and the screenshot is from this thread over at AndroidForums. No probs, thanks for the e-peen
Interested in a Droid2? Hang fire for a couple of days, and see if this blows over first - reports of wildly fluctuating signal strength / reception even when the thing is sat on the desk: http://www.mobilecrunch.com/2010/08/13/uh-oh-early-droid-2-units-having-signal-issues/
Funny how places have only started to mention signal strength as a key part of a review since the iPhone 4 got it so wrong, isn't it?
oo havent hacked my ROM so got to wait till september for it ! whats the voice commands like any good ? dont like relying on marketing BS
So the Droid in the US has 2.2 ... anyone have any idea when Motorola will release 2.2 for the Milestone?
Finally unlocked my Desire so I'm on 2.2 now as well, FoxToPhone is pretty freakin' sweet. FroYo might be rolling out for the Milestone by the end of the month, it'll take a bit longer for the carriers to do their stuff though. edit - wahey 3000th post
I've joined the smart phone group today with my HTC Desire. Have to say, very impressed, lovely lovely flexibility and very fast. Spent all afternoon fiddling with it, messing about with new apps. It is now a remote so I can lie in bed and watch movies. To root it and install Froyo or not? That is the question
I met a guy who does software testing. He had a few of iphone 4's and has done testing on the new windows phones that are coming out soon. He said that the best thing you can do with one of the new windows phones is throw it out the window... I had high hopes for them. Oh well.
For those like me with a Motorola Dext in the UK: We're boned! https://supportforums.motorola.com/community/manager/softwareupgrades Get root & install it yourself.
Hey android users Just found a firefox to phone extension (via androidforums) FoxToPhone download the standard chrome2phone from google from the market, run that app and set it up, then install the firefox add on and you get a "to phone" button next to the address bar on your pc.... Hit it and it either launches the browser or you get a link on your phone notifications how cool is that
