I know the Sennheiser HD595's dont require an amplifier nor need one. I will be upgrading to a morfe high end pair of cans later this year however and am just looking for amplifier options.

Well, you all know what my rooms's like, but here's an update on my PC:

(Rear 140mm put in front, Yate loon D12 at back, and Noiseblocker XL2 in the drive bays. All fans at 7v)

 

i wish my room was as clean as most of these...

I think im going to have a massive clearout and make my down to BARE essentials to make it easier to manage how ever many times i reorganize my desk it still ends up a rats nest of wires

 

You don't really think our rooms are actually this tidy all the time do you? My room gets tidied once in a month or more, I take a photo, and then within a few days it's back to looking like it was.

 

ah I see what you mean, logitech speakers tend to be a bit like sledgehammers, plenty of power but no good for the finer detail. For under £200 cant beat Aego M's

 

I get fed up with a messy room, I clean my desk daily. I hate having all my tv remotes, controllers and such on it. Most commonly I just have bottles or cans covering my desk and tv remotes. Some people don't mind crap all over the place, other people hate it. I can leave stuff on my floor for days but seeing bottles and junk on my desk annoys me since I sit at it for so long every day.

 

Not my computer, but one I am working on for my singer. Having a few problems getting it to boot, though. Managed to get to BIOS a couple of times, but it locked up. It's currently refusing to POST, which is most annoying. I got similar symptoms from when my fan controller shorted out, so I am suspecting that. Any ideas, guys?

Also the clips aren't on correctly (if that's 4 sticks I see).

Poss. overheating CPU? Check the mountings.

Obviously the easiest to check is to unplug that fan controller as you said.

 

You misunderstood me about the fan controller. That was in another rig, albeit with that same mobo. The symptoms are the same, however.

CPU temps were fine. Reported 20C idle in the BIOS when I could access it.

The RAM clips are fine. The yellow ones on that motherboard are of a slightly different design and stick up a little more when clipped down. Also tried it with just one stick, (tried several) and still couldn't reach POST.

I'm suspecting a short still, but it's too warm the evening for me to care too much. XD

I'll gut it and try again tomorrow.

@sleepygamer, when you search for the faulty component do the usual "strip it down" to the bare essentials. Could be just one RAM out of the 4 that is faulty and such, just be patient and do it

 

They're made by some American home operation, and I got mine on Etsy. Search for 'Son of Mac'* and you'll find them easy enough. The shipping is grossly disproportionate to the actual cost, though. I have a spare one - drop me a PM if you're interested.
