I hope the FIA aren't really hoping for a more balanced grid with these engine mapping regulations..

Who knows what's going to happen in qualifying and the first pit stop this weekend, hopefully it'll at least make it interesting. I doubt anyone will try a 1min+ laptop connected stop but it would definitely be a sight

YAWN. Red Bull lock out the front row, with Hamilton then Alonso, Massa then Button. Damn you RB - again! Hopefully it won't mean much in the race tomorrow. :)

I hope you weren't expecting some sort of upside down uber-crash?

Very impressed with Eddie on the pit walk. Straight to the point, succinct, interesting and pertinent questions.

    Excellent stuff!

Interesting contract between Brundle's "Oh I must not interrupt a meeting between driver and engineer" and Eddie's "You scum bag drivers, talk to me NOW!"

Yaaaawwwn. Some great mid-field action but not much excitement up front, and another flawless victory for Vettel. As Horner put it: "Pole, fastest lap, race win."

+1. After the excitement of Canada, The Container Port GP serves up another slice of dull.

It was a bit of a dull race, but interesting to see the McLarens struggling after being the Bulls' only challengers for most of this season. Also, another late-season pickup for Ferrari?

Alonso seems to be happy with himself, so if the car can better...

Very dull race imo. But next race is going to be very important for all of the teams. Just because of the engine mapping. How ever well they do in Silverstone will depend on how well they do for the rest of the season.

Wanted Alonso to fight with Vettel but shame that didn't happen.

Exactly. Hope the British GP is a bit better - would be a surprise if it wasn't a Red Bull one-two there though. :(

With all the high-speed shenanigans at Silverstone I'd expect a very strong Red Bull showing.

I decided to skip the race. Kep an eye on the timing screens, and even there it was boring.
Leiws COULD POSSIBLY have scored a bit had he pitted, say, 3 laps earlier for his harder tyres, but that's pure speculation.

It's a bit worrying to hear BOTH McLaren drivers complaining about the lack of pace and ESPECIALLY the lack of rear downforce (specifically). Rear downforce is gonna get less next race, and I really hope they have an answer for that.
It'd be KILLER to have a Macca 1-2 at Silverstone... but time will tell... Without rear downforce, there's not much the drivers can do to close in on the RBR's and (it would seem) the Ferraris.

I'm not surprised it was boring if you just watched the timing screens, you missed the epic midfield action...

Very doom and gloom post-race though, from everyone. Another couple of victories for Vettel and it'll be absolutely in the bag. Maybe we should just make Adrian Newey retire?

True, that, Krikkit... Timing screens are boring.
Thing is, though... I normally feel like I am missing out when I do that.
I didn't this time. Except for the scraps in the middle, there seems to have been nothing I missed.

Doom and gloom is understandable... Seb Vettel has prettymuch got the season by the neck, especially if he does well in Silverstone.

That being said - I REAAAALLY hope that the Maccas have secretly been building a new rear package to compensate for the exhaust rules... a GREAT one at that...
