I really don't get it, you keep selling your PC just to buy another?

 

For some reason i when i end up selling a pc i actually miss it. i think i just like building new rigs and then i get bored.

I think i need to find a job in dells factory building pc's to satisfy my craving

Also the pc i am running now was a great htpc but not a great main rig as i need to run lightroom.

don't worry about me guys i do this a lot i think everyone has got used to fact that i do these stupid things. the wife lost it yesterday when i told her i was buying these parts she want me to go see a doctor as this isnt normal

 

A second Hand Kenwood Chef (A701A) for Mrs GOO, as her modern mixer is a pile of cack when it comes to doing heavy duty baking. This thing is built like a tank, and is older than me...



After a clean, and a new speed control resistor it works like a charm.

A new Dual Climate Control Valve for the Jag, as the aircon is playing up (Nice and cold one side of the car, hot on the other - even though the temp is set the same for both sides)



Also for the Jag - new rear caliper guide pins.

 

Same Kenwood chef model that my mum got for a wedding present back in the early 70s and that's still going strong, like you said, built like a tank.

 

We got the newer ken wood chef mixers, if there is a ice cream/sorbet attachment for the old ones then get it.
The recipe kenwood provide tastes brilliant

Claiming you have to sell because you can't afford to keep both, or it's not getting any use then just buying another pc as soon as you do sell is very different from getting the urge to upgrade when you don't need to

 

I know that feeling, that is why i have HTC One next to my Samsung Galaxy Nexus .

 

I could afford to keep it but it wasn't getting any use and then i saw the was Haswell mobo thread and i thought i dont want to be left out of the geek crowd. I know im not going to use it but like my photography gear, its good to know its there when i will need it. and i promise this is the last selling of my rig no more until i upgrade as i need to start saving money for a house

I'm very tempted to do some spending PC wise, ideally need a new gpu as this current one is mucking up, then some HDDs and maybe a 2nd microserver to leave with the family which could act as a backup (something I don't currently do) and mean they'd have loads of things to stream, and I could then run my main PC without any HDDs which would be nice, which might also tempted me to go mitx......

Yeah the reason I haven't bought anything is it's a very slippery slope
