The new phone. 144hz with 240hz touch screen. It makes my shark, which is no slouch, seem slow.

Congratulations! That is great news to hear.

All that worry and doubt is behind you on this and you've achieved a really positive step in these tough times.

In the current circumstances getting a job is like actually finding the pot of gold at the rainbow's end. Congrats

Getting every one of my electronic devices back from the insanity of last year. I'll have a PC again. And my PS4 back. And Connor will have his laptop, iPad and phone. And Karen gets her phone back. Just good news all around.

Better news-this means all the allegations were demonstrably false and I have the physical proof. Which means I have a court case. And I'm gonna enjoy it.

Thanks for all the congrats fellas, still hasn't quite sunk in yet I'm definitely riding this high. So much relief its over and with the desired outcome... I can't tell you how much sleep I've lost leading up to it.

Feels great to start a new role with new opportunities, the jump in wages is also going to snowball the remaining personal debt I have and play nicely into formulating a deposit for a mortgage in the coming years.

New career prospects + longer term financial security = Awesome

My equipment is all functional. And all the parts are there. Everything is working. Funny how that makes a person feel better.

Got a huge chunk of change in the form of a cheque from the insurance office that announced that the insurance company will be refunding to all the drivers that use it. WHOOOOO Now I can pay off some of my debts and get closer to a debt free future. :clapclap:

For some reason, the latest bios update for my X470 seems to have made 3600mhz memory stable.. Or at least, more stable than previously.

Something tells me I'm speaking too soon, and as soon as I stop synthetically loading stuff it's going to have a mad flap and go back to 3400 stable, but. We shall see.

    Payrise.

I work in the frozen food sector so covid hit us hard and Brexit hasn't helped at all, forwent one last year and wasn't expecting much this year but bosses have being able to pull something out the bag to show appreciation.

Had an article that I wrote on the history of lightning protection in the UK published by the Association of Technical Access and Lightning Specialists (ATLAS). It got edited a little from the original text that I wrote (wasn't told of the word limit to start with), but it turned out pretty good.

Also had our pay rise notifications arrive, which was nice

I dunno about everyone else, but I've been finding it really difficult to enjoy hobbies since lockdown began last March. Just this weekend I made myself sit down to make another Borderlands themed doodah, and I now have a lil' box for all my erasers. Hobbies definitely make life that little bit more bearable, and it's nice to feel a sense of accomplishment - aside from buying lots of stationery (and not telling my wife that I've bought it).

    Same.

I've also found it difficult to motivate myself to do all those odd jobs oddly enough. I'm not one of those who has used lockdown to write a book, invent something and add an extension to the house.

Kind of getting a want for it again though.

No longer on BT Internet as of today, same speed, no limits, 65% reduction in cost.

The aggressive (and it is very aggressive) email from BT arrived at 00:30 exactly when the connections switched. My BT Email account will be closed and all content deleted unless I sign up to BT Email plus for £7.50/month.
I've got a backup server bitches!

I barely used it anyway, but dread to think how many people get scammed into paying £90 a year for a crappy webmail service because they're afraid to lose everything.

    That's super.

TBH? the only thing damaged about my hobbies are the dumb ass prices people want for bike and PC stuff. Mind you having said that I am glad because it set me off in the Hifi direction and I am super happy about that every time I listen to my system.
