12 SKUs for one 'type' of card is frankly bonkers. The costs associated with validation, packaging, marketing, stock management, manufacturing line changes is surely bloody expensive. I wouldn't want more than 2 or 3 - A cheap and cheerful model with a standard cooler and an expensive one with the mutts-nuts cooler. I'll allow a watercooled SKU at this end of the market to. But 12!!!!!
Just going through the motions from previous practise. Currently, they could produce a single SKU, coloured luminous bile green with pink led fans, and it would still sell out.
Do you think Palit took a look at G.Skill's Trident Z Royal RAM and said "That textured lighting looks mighty tasteful, let's have some of that all over a GPU?"
