I'm thinking it's because it's a car window. About the right size and position for a car window. And he's putting something like a shield/logo/words under it, like it would be under the window on a cop car. Only slanted. I think it's inspired.
The stripe is pretty much done. Now time to prep the left panel to cutting, sanding, painting, etc. Should I put anything here?
Any suggestions? It's getting too hard to not stick to a specific department theme especially when it comes donwn to adding a logo. Should I just get a LAPD one?
I've been trying to find a way to fill the void between the front and the case frame, so like many suggestions received I went with "bars". Let me know your honest opinion. I used the grill top that came with R2-D2's head. The fans are for effect. I'm not sure what colors I'm actually using. Any ideas? I attached it with a zip tie. Well?
I think that one looks best by far. I honestly thought the police theme would come out looking corny, but its going awesome man. Keep it up
More to do... The left window is done and the panel is receiving the white coat first. I also decided to paint three bay covers, because I was planning on adding a white DVD drive to the top BUT! then I had a problem. I forgot that the drives are attached via this slide-in cage. The top corner (This is the inside) has a piece of metal at the top where the floppy drive was. this is the outside... I'm not using a floppy drive, especially on top of the CD/DVD drives so I cut it out. Then another problem popped up. The drive doesn't fit!! I guess it needs rails? If I even get the drive in, what can fit in this slightly thinner 5.25 bay?
I would suggest an LCD screen, or maybe a custom emblem that says "Police" or perhaps your name "TheGreatSatan. Always good to promote your own name over the internet.
