Exit Through the Gift Shop - 7/10

A crazy French man living in LA who video tapes everything finds out his cousin is the street artist space invader. Through space invader he meets other famous street artists and decides to make a film about street art and on the way meets Banksy. Its a very good documentary and takes a real twist towards the end when the film maker himself becomes the subject.

I'm sure I saw a couple bad reviews for it...

Either way, I thought it was alright. One of my friends thought it was far too heavy handed with its political message and another thought it was really good. Surprisingly well done for such a low budget film even if the CGI was rather iffy for the most part, the monsters looked epic though.

I watched Four Lions the other day for the first time, enjoyed it a lot!

    Yes Man

    8/10

This movie had one of the most ridiculously predictable plot ever made. Somehow though, it feels like the writer(s) saw this and thought it was a good challenge to make something good out of it, and they did.

It's a "feel good" movie and even though you know what's going to happen next, you're still glad to see it happen because it just feels right. Jim Carey and Zooey Deschanel had surprisingly good chemistry and basically made the movie a movie, all by themselves.

Just like for 500 days of Summer, Zooey Deschanel by herself is the main reason why you should see this movie. She has the ability to actually make you love her, it's crazy :hehe:

Been rewatching all of the extended Lord of The Rings over the last couple nights with the female.

I forgot just how good the CGI still looks.

I can't watch LOTR anymore. All the slow motions just piss me off

Too bad because it definitely was incredible the first time I saw them (excluding the 9.3 hours ending)

    ^^

I COMPLETELY agree. Still, not as bad as watching Transformers.

Saw Tron last night.. 3D was annoying as usual. Any scene not in 'the grid' could be watched without the glasses on for improved clarity, there's little to no 3D effects in 'real life' scenes.

Soundtrack was AWESOME! Daft Punk did a great job.

The club/bar scene was pretty great, when Clue's henchmen came in the DJs switched to battle music. Made me laugh :D

Story was kind of lame though.. Why would Flynn Jr. go and sabotage the company every year instead of just making them do what he wants? He clearly had the power to, given that he just went and decided to take control over the entire company at the end. I guess he just enjoyed the 'not doing anything and getting loads of money' lifestyle..

8-9/10 for aesthetics and sound, 3/10 for story and acting, 7/10 for Jeff Bridges' acting

Daft Punk did a totally wicked job on the soundtrack, it's on Spotify too. Not seen the film yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll be watching in 2D if there's decent times on at the cinema.

That was a stylistic choice by the filmmakers, all the real world scenes are 2d.

Edit: Having watched it earlier I've even less of an idea why you were confused about this, it's right there in print at the start of the film

I watched The Town last night. Pretty good overall if not a bit a saccharine and cliched. The action and chase scenes are a highlight.

Watched Kung Fu Panda and The American.

Kung Fu Panda was good and funny. The American was quite boring. Hardly any dialog and too much sex scene stuff.

I don't really remember exactly what was written at the beginning, but FWIR they didn't say to remove the glasses at any point, I'm just saying that the experience is improved if you remove your glasses at the non-grid portions of the movie.

Well, hold on to your pants for the american remakes of the Stieg Larsson movies :duh:
Well, that's the best description of the A-Taem TOS I've ever heared, so that should fit.

I wonder if Magnum P.I. is up for a movie?
My chesthair's ready for it to become fashionable again! :D

    Armored ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0913354/ )

Oh wow. What a waste of time. Can't believe I watched the whole thing. Although I think I was just watching it because I couldn't believe they had such big name actors in such a crappy film (also hangover and really can't do anything but sit still and watch movies)
