You're way off. :) I have a sneaking suspicion we could do this all day, so wait until friday and the answer will be revealed! :thumb:

The holes do look about right for dual DVI/HDMI outs, and s-vid out or something....

I think it fits in that slot below the mobo though, which would rule that out... hmmm...

Drawing shows a hole on each side of square openings. I think the CNC ovals are due for a bit od file work and some time on the drill press. Scale is too wide for USB. Check the cable picture.

All I know is that it will be sweet.

If you have never owned a video card it is not so apparent.

    Just sayin.
Oh, and screw what it's for - just awesomeness of being able to do this is worth the price of admission.

Crap. I jammed two lines together.

Friday it is. Unfortunately I had forgotten that I'm going to one of my nephews 3 year birthday today, so the update will be a bit short and not contain all I wanted!

But you'll get some of it! :)

BF3 is taking up a lot of my time man... Oh and girlfriend, friends and family are also requesting a bit of my time! :)

Deadline is still the first week of may! :)

    You are quite right! :thumb:

Yes, and no. Remember to rule NOTHING out in this forum! ;)

But you are right! A bit of filing, and a couple of holes! :)

    :thumb:

    Thanks a lot sir! :)

As mentioned, I had to cut it short today. But I have the next 10 days off, so some progress is to be expected! :)

But it is indeed a GFX backplate:

I don't know exactly what went wrong in measuring, but I had to take a bit off of the corner of the GFX pcb. No problems though, it's just PCB! :)

Sorry for the short update, I'll be back during the weekend with more! :)

We can bicker about that from here to Xmas! :)

The GPU is not the one I'm going to use. It's the first waterblock I ever made for a GFX. It's a8800 gts 320 mb... Not much UMPH in that anymore!

:read: (I love when I get to use that)

Actually it's an old card only used for the purpose of testing. It's a 8800 gts.

I'll be using a 9800 gtx+ for this build, which is also from my old computer. :)

Less than $1.00, I'm assuming you grabbed all that they had in stock ? They do look very nice. :thumb:

Yeah must have been really tempting, they add up to a lot these fancy fittings, fittings like this wasn't around when I dabbled with water cooling so everything didn't look so good compared to how they are now but the extra eye candy sure costs.

    Nice bargain.
