he is talking about why he bought an SLI motherboard while he didn't want any SLI at all. having a hard time reading and interpreting customholle? anyways, nice hardware your modding is fine so-far
Would i have run SLI if i had a Nvidia card - not likely Explanation of why i bought an SLI motherboard Im well aware i cant run SLI - i did have a nvidia card to start with, but when i upgraded the x1900xt was the best value for money card
The hood scoop has arrived. Should I put the scoop farther back Or more in the middle? Here's the mesh. I will not be using this mesh. For the side scoop option, I found these at Auto Zone. If I cut them into single pieces and lie them side by side it looks like this And this... I think I like the first two better.
Towards the front makes more sense for me just because that is the logical and how real cars mount scoops.
I got the matching keyboard and mouse combo And I bought the custom Dodge etch from Crazy PC Then applied it to the window. Then I got the hole saw for the exhaust fan on top. The hole saw was actually too dull and I had to finish with the dremel. I then fixed the bad hole and applied the flat black. Then peeled off the tape. And used the pin striping.
Yes, heat rises. It seems stupid to fight that. Here's some pics with the new scoop. This is just so you have an idea. I still have to replace the mesh and make the black match the case.
Hey, i say that you make it so that the scoop sits RIGHT against the superbee logo, and have a circular cut indentation so that it rides the edge of the ring Oh and the comp behind it was the clown PC built for his mom. To me, it was a so-so mod, up until the clown mouth blowhole, and the freakin literal feet (that i LOVED)
I like this case, but i think that there are to many shades of black in this. You have the flat black that you painted on the case, and then the shiny striping tape... And also the area where the case door meets the top of the case is weird to me... The stripe that runs up the side of the door just ends and meets the green... and same deal with the stripe on the top of the case that goes towards the doors... It looks weird, but i havent seen the final case yet.
All the loose ends will come together, you'll see. I replaced the mesh for the Hood Scoop. And I painted the Hood Scoop to match the case. Then I drilled out the screw holes . Then I put the fan in and blackened the screws. Then put the Hood Scoop perfectly on.
Well I woke up at 3:00 a.m. and couldn't fall back asleep so... Just to see what it looks like, I added the drives Then I hooked the top exhaust fan to a test PC to see it lit up. Lastly I fixed the pin stripe so that comes from the Superbee logo and goes clear to the end of the case.
I went to the hobby store and spent .99 cents on some lettering. Which added some detail to the hood scoops. Next came the window grill. First some primer... Then the green on the mesh. And I made the grill frame black. Then I bonded the Mopar "M" to the mesh And lastly I put it all together. And then on the panel.
I'm waiting for my motherboard to arrive so while I wait I thought I'd get some "current progress" pics.
I love the hood scoop and the air intakes at the sides, I wanted to do something similar to my case but wasn't sure if it woul look right, but seeing your mod I might just try this, too... Anyways nice job!
I was wondering if I should use this old HD cooler bay front piece in place of one of the bays to "look" like a car grill? Or would it be overkill? Also, since I lost money on the motherboard in a bad ebay transaction and since my In-Laws will be visiting in 2 weeks, I added a multifunctional floppy/media reader drive. I was going to add a Matrix Orbital LCDC, but do not have the money.
