Nice job with the air filter. TheGreatSatan, didn't you have a Star Wars project you were working on a while back that just vanished? That was an awesome project...
Good call on the CPu fan cover I was wondering how you where gonna pull that off. Nice idea. Looks pretty good but those the pin stripe tape and slap on some paint.
looking good, but regarding that molex that you cut: in your pic your showing the red wire as +12v and the yellow as +5v...but it's the other way round right? Yellow is +12v...
Isn't this a four pin fan connector? http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/8067/4pincb8.jpg I'm a bit late once again but I just had to ask this. I saw someone talking about floppy connector and I've never seen one on a mobo..
yes it happens quite a lot in high end boards now mine has the 24 pin, 4 pin supplementary, molex and floppy connectors (and they all need the be plugged in <_<)
Also the serial number on the proc is an Opty 165, but the BIOS and windows says Athlon 64 3200+. What's the deal?
When I try to drag a screen or scroll down pages using the scroll wheel, it goes in waves. The movement is not smooth. It reminds me of a memory issue, but the system shows that I have a gig in there. Could it be from the DDR500 installed in a DDR400 board?
Great work as always, Wish I could finish my project as quick as you...Love the air filter and the custom grill
It looks fantasic! If you're still having that issue with your Opty 165 being registered as an Athlon 64 3200+ you can check to see if you have the newest BIOS. The updates usually fix compatability issues with new CPUs.
