Graphics 3DMark 06' Released. Post Results!

    a whole 0 fps in the cpu tests :hehe:

    bsslove's tests above do a good job of lessening my doubts about going for 7800gt instead of 7800gtx in my next/upcoming rig :hehe:

    5150, Pity the RAID card is in my "other" graphics slot, otherwise I could get another 7800 because lets face it, it doesnt matter if I can play games its all about the 3DMarks :rolleyes:
    (although I did have to restrain myself from killing processes and overclocking a bit more than my 24/7 speeds trying for 5500, but in the end I didnt lower myself to their level;))

    I noticed a pretty serious mistake though, I'm not sure if other people have seen this in theirs. In the top left corner mine says "3DMark06" when it should clearly say "3DMark05 SE"

    The silly thing is, even if I wanted to I can't compare my score with other similar setups on the ORB to see how its doing, as it doesnt distinguish between single card and SLI configs

    2001SE was made/released in 2002 - it had a couple of extra feature tests, but that was about it.

    The CPU tests are insane on '06! 0.3 FPS avg with an FX-57 @3GHz :(

    6664 seems its bascily for the dual cores. might pop in the old 4400 in tonight see what numbers appear :)

    Will have to get the Dothan/6800LE hooked up... have a feeling the 9500NP and 32mb generic PCI card won't even make the starting gates.....

    <edit> Are you not able to cancel out after the game tests, or do the CPU tests HAVE to be run in this edition... </edit>

    This score I have the CoolnQuiet enabled.. auto volt etc etc.. on my fx-55

    and then I disabled CoolnQuiet and set my vcore volt at 1.5.... and voila the suspect stuttering was gone and my score went up by 1000 points :eyebrow:

    the main problem is that x1800's dont do SM3, therefore their scores will be alot lower :(

    my rig just scored 1660

    sm2.0 score: 875
    hdr/sm3.0 score: n/a
    cpu score: 715

    all in all im quite pished

    time to oc the crap out of my cpu (back to 300x9 methinks) and get some more mem bandwidth... time to kill some fx's

    venice 3000+ (stock for this run)
    1gb bh5 (stock for this run) (2-2-2-6 atm)
    x800gto2 (@ stock)
    20gb maxtor for os

    My 6600GT took quite a beating there. Better get back to "real" gaming where I can actually play with a decent frame rate :eyebrow:

    For some stupid reason 3dmark06 won't run at 2.8GHz, I get that error sound, but the 3dmark sceen won't dissapear, not allowing me to read the error message. The computer hasn't crashed as the psone samurize config is still going. I can play games no probs at 2.8GHz :eyebrow:
