Wow that looks wrong but funny .
Back on topic
It's an awesome looking block .
Cheaps <- Have you learned nothing from me?
The correct answer to Cleveland216's question is: "Because I can!"
Stunning design btw!! I really gotta up my designs to keep up with you from now on!
I remember a dude making water blocks in the dark after a hurricane and no electricity. Turning the drill press by hand! You have come a long ways, Cheaps. Excellent work.
That is real passion!
John, You keep embellishing that story! I wanted to get the boring and tapping done before the storm hit. I would have done that part by hand anyway.
@AngelOD - Yes, keep raising the bar. It's more fun that way.
'Bout time for some porn...
-I still hadn't cleaned up the screw holes at this point. Here you can see what I did with the two screwed up top plates. I milled a big hole in the middle and turned them into spacers.
-You can make out the springs here, and the little screws stick out because they still lack the motherboard cover plate.
What type of CNC machine do you have? I heard there are small ones that can fit on a standard kitchen table or something like that.
Damn... If Spongebob sees this, he's gonna come in his squarepants!
That truly is porn!
Btw. John & Cheaps <- Wasn't that the year I cancelled X-mas to mod?
great photos cheaps!
Truly fine work cheaps! ....................
But I need to question the phillips head screws.
Where were you earlier, I could have used your support Attila!
GREAT JOB ! love it
Nearly missed the pics of the block, I really like the design of it & it looks excellent too .
And heck yeah when people raise the bar of awesome it pushes others to try harder .
Maybe I missed it somewhere in the deepest of deep depthd of this deviously deeper than deep worklog, but isn't there supposed to be a custom backplate for that awesome CPU block in production somewhere in a Munky CNC, hmmmm?
@nutman- What? ...
We're nearing final Episode of the Mod Men series. You can watch previous episodes HERE
I spy a Mushkin shirt under that plate
Cheaps: A backplate.... you know, for keeping the mobo from kinking when you tie down that awesome block.
Bill: Final? FINAL? NOOOOOOOOO!
That is one sexy looking block.
