Yeah, I'm a little disappointed the article images have been the same for the last 3 AvP articles. Hey ho.

Can't wait for this to be released :)

Not pleased about the developed-for-joypad comments. I think I'll pass on this one and go for BF:BC2.

Sorry about that - Sega have only released a few shots. Rest assured that the review will use our own screenshots.

Ah the memories this brings back... Crapping myself playing AvP at home, the screams from around the room playing AvP2 Survivor in the LAN centre...

Breaking out in a cold sweat just thinking about it

BF: BC2 is also a console-shooter, much like BF1943, I was hugely dissapointed with the demo on LIVE, wich was about the same as COD, but it had kinda cooler graphics though. Time will show if it's any better on PC, but I won't have my hopes up. As for aliens vs predator vs human, I will pass this one also, consolegames not for me anymore :(

That's a good point, in the review will you be testing with DX11 hardware? And would it be possible to see the difference between DX9 and 11 ingame? (or does it support DX10 as well?)

Can't wait for this game and especially the Survivor element since clan -=Crazy=- owned that segment in AVP2.

    Bring it on ladies!

I excitingly await your thoughts. Our LAN group is in need a of great new LAN game that supports more than 18 people (looking at your failure in this COD Mw2). So please provide the details on LAN play features.

Me neither, but I wouldn't consider it enough of an issue to outright not play the game.

My main fear was that the only method of moving to a different surface would be that horribly stiff and unnatural looking (and I should imagine that it feels just the same) jumping mechanic. I can appreciate it will help a lot of newcomers and/or consolers keep things a bit slower to get to grips with it, but if that was forced on everyone then I may well have had to have gone on a killing spree.

Just to clarify, Joe, instead of holding crouch and going nuts, we now push a designated button, and then the next surface you come to, you attach to? What if you are already on a wall? Will it just attach you to the next surface you reach or will you just drop when you push it? From the sounds of the article, you can't run continuously to the roof (via wall), even if it takes two button presses. Sounds like you just fall off the second time you push it.

And do you have to use the jump points for vents, or is that just optional?

Sorry, but AvP is very dear to me, especially the Alien levels. I just want to know what the deal is before I sink my teeth in to the game. Don't want to to leave a sour taste in my mouth.

Just speculation but I imagine it is like the Tremulous system (EDIT: Aliens v humans game using quake engine).

When you press the button the ability to walk on walls is activated. So you now walk up walls along celings etc. When you press it again its turns off so you can't, if you are on a wall/ceiling you fall off. It works well in Trem btw.
