Bumfluff: I like the look of it althought it is quite restrictive in terms of airflow and hence why i am considering the hexagon shape one. Its only a wee 80mm fan and i want to get the most exhausting power out of it as possible.

Multiplectic: If i trusted my engraving skills i would. I like the clean look of it right now though. :)

RonaldoR9: Yes the 3 cans are all Matt Black. I used 2.5 on the cage. I have bought a U-Pol primer after purchasing these and its not in the picture.

ComputerKing: You're comments make me crack up - please keep posting them! :thumb:

    NZ_mod_man & Brett89: Thanks for the encouragement.

Damn mate, nice work, must admit :hehe:

I actually had my doubts about this project when it was in the first stages. I thought you'd never get the "add-on" parts to fit the case smoothly, I'm happy to find that I was dead wrong. I may even have to try that Araldite or Plastic Padding chemical metal myself.

Now that it's painted black, it's better still, though now it really looks like Lian Li V1000, lol.

Looking forward to you finishing this case, one thing I know for sure, it'll be awesome!

    Thanks Darkened.

I know exactly what you mean. If you look at the initial pictures it looks like a right mess!! What with the back cage breaking halfway through due to lack of support i really considered giving up. Luckily, i left it for a week or so and came back to it rather than getting myself worked up.

The metal putty is great for filling holes but it doesnt have any strength. Thats why i needed to use the araldite with a heat gun - it sets rock solid!

Part of me loves the fact that people are comparing it to a Lian-Li as i love their cases. The other, more creative part, is saying "It's my mod, NOT a Lian Li". LOL. :)

I feel like i have climbed the mountain and am now on the way down (touches every wooden thing in sight!).

    Cyp.

ps any idea when you will update next?

    Congrats on the sponsor :thumb:

You also asked about the next update from me, it's coming, but not quite yet. Been really busy lately at work, but I do have some good news, I have all the weekends off from work this month, so I'm thinking at least two updates... :hehe:

If i were to look at a Lian Li and the Apple Chassis, i would so take a Apple G5 Mac chassis over a Lian Li

    Great work Cyprio:jawdrop:

One of the nicest G5 mods I've seen . Like that clean black paintjobb, almost like black anodized alu.
