Didn't overly enjoy this episode, sometimes I wish it was more of an actual car programme, and I don't even like cars.

The waste of just destroying 2 caravans for the sake of it annoyed me.

Hopefully it will end well next week.

What else would you do with a caravan? They serve no useful purpose... they exist only to be ridiculed and destroyed...

It seemed more car oriented than usual. There was the new 911, the bespoke 911, the Lambo, and a group test of mid-price "made for the road" 4x4s. Even the "news" section had stuff about cars - the various versions of the new 911, the Dacia Duster Black, etc.

It's not as though they spent 30 mins building a hovercraft out of a transit van.

I thoroughly enjoyed the latest show- very much about cars & some proper laughs too.

As for the 'fake' hovercraft scenes- it's pretty obvious the dinners & guy in the rowing boat were actors, there's not way they would cause that much 'damage' to real diners without getting in real trouble; Telegraph readers ( in the comments ) are a bunch of miserable kill joy arse-hats.

I know Jeremy accused 5th Gear for torching the studio years ago, but I've always maintained that the actual culprits were the Provisional Wing of The Caravan Club, after the boys did episodes like this.

Funny episode. Glad to see Lambo have a great grasp on the term "budget" supercar.

Caravan sequence was entertaining, perhaps a bit of hacksawing went on to get them both to be ruined by the end, but it was much less ridiculous than the crap hovervan section.

Otherwise a decent episode imo - interesting piece on the 911, that gorgeous Singer and Stuart Taylor as the SIARPC (you can buy nice cars, but he can't drive for toffee).

    Also, more Singer porn:

I thought it was Bonnie Tyler.

I doubt they needed to do anything to the caravans, I'm too worried about damaging the things to even lean on them. They are proper flimsy to push about. In any event there are better ways to spend your money, unless you need accommodation in different places monthly.

Best moment for me was the very scripted Mazda crash resulting in the visit to the staged dogging meet, associating that type of vehicle with that activity .

I actually found that episode genuinely fun.
It was silly, only a bit staged, and good watching.

What was the joke about caravaners taking stuff to the dump?
    I just didn't get that!

Reductio ad absurdum, they compounded the 4x4 owner tipping a brand new sink, with the general point made across all Top Gear that caravans are a waste of money.

Woah, Another great episode, and the last for the series. The last segment was a nice eye opener too.

Loved the advert that showed up at the very end about how the Germans love their cars and why they are so good.

But in all honesty that last segment was one of the best they have done in years.
