Well found an easy solution to docking......

    The docking computer......

Had to try it out just for the fun of it. It worked well. The ship did lots of faffing about but it docked OK. A bit slower than a manual dock but hey, why not if your feeling lazy(or can't manually dock very well)....

The DC is slow as anything, and doesn't always actually manage to land either! A bit of practise and manual landings are a doddle.

It worked on the first landing....

I know what you mean, I'll be getting rid of it. Just wanted to try it. I'm OK with the manual landings just need a bit more practice with the stick...

Its a space sim with multiplayer, but everyone plays on the same server.

This post alone is what has pushed me towards this instead of Star Citizen.... and now I'm looking at decent joysticks as well.

Saitek x52 Pro a solid investment do people reckon?

Yes. Not a perfect system, but it's pretty good. It's also huge, so make sure you have the desk space!

I've been thoroughly impressed with my X52 Pro; it's lovely to behold and makes a huge difference in game.

I find the design of it rather fits the ED design style.

If I could bloody well source one I would get it....

Only reasonable price I've found is from the states :/

Any recommendations on a good throttle and joystick setup?

I believe the Pro is out of production now. If you get one, be sure to do the "magnet mod"

Saitek probably want everyone to start buying the X55.

Got a source on that? Someone on Reddit wrote to Saitek, and they emailed back and said that it was still in production.

Its just sold out due to the ramping popularity of Elite, SC etc.

If you are not concerned with a high end stickm I have found the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS very comfortable and sensitive enough for my needs > Docking with the Thrustmaster . .> http://www.twitch.tv/bradshort/c/4948288

wow - the latheral thrust hat setup is ace! also tried it in a little combat, very cool to apply verticle thrust while dumping speed, if they turn to compensate you end up right behind them.

Is there separate drivers for the 1600m? Windows recognises it as a game controller and correctly identifies it as a 1600m, which I have since calibrated.

Yes it is huh! Its also good in a head to head. I like to slew to the right or left which forces them to counter by rolling towards you, opening up more of their topside.

Really happy with my Thrustmaster and I recommend it if you're on a budget.

How good are Scan at holding to pre-order prices? Anyone had any experience?
