Summer is coming and I think today is the hottest day of the year so far, being 28C in Southampton and 31C in my bedroom it's a bit early! With a server running 24/7 and the rig in the sig my room regularly went over 30C last summer, and today it's gone over that.

I like to have my fan running on full next to me, I want air conditioning but my parents won't be happy with the leccy bill! But how do you guys keep your room cool or do you just sweat it out?

Live in the north of Scotland :D

I can't stand hot weather, anything above 18C and I'm starting to get moody, hf with silly temps due to PC+actual sun.

I sometimes leave the side of my case open, but with me newer Lian li case im lucky it has 120mm fans otherwise i'd be screwing over all the noise the 80mm fans make, also that i open some windows!!!!

I acutally did that with a 92mm fan and a 80mm, i was so hot at night whilst on pc, i hooked it up to my psu (was an antec with the exterior molex) put the 80mm on my mouse (cool my hands) and the 92mm leaning on some books directing at my body :)

    Kept me cool hehe :D

Before I had AC in my room I used to just spent as little time there as possible and hung out at my friends house, who had AC. I would recommend getting a window fan to keep airflow going, then get some fans blowing right on you.

I sit in my room with minimal clothing. I have been planning to build a large fan the same size as the window, but I can't be bothered. I have a few old heat sinks floating around that stick on my sweaty torso.

Air con at works pretty good! This house/room is much cooler than the last too, which should be ok for the PC's

I have my fan propped into my window to pull any cool air the breeze sends my way haha and lemme tell you this fan is pretty big. My friends and roomates almost always comment on my huge fan, but they never dispute that it's almost never too hot in my room and an Ice Box at night. I miss my dorm. Because of the way they had the dorms laid out there was almost always a constant breeze passing in the space between our dorm and the one accross from us.

If it's hot outside.. then I go outside.. I don't stay in my room behind my computer all day.. so no need to keep the room cool either.

When I do need to check emails, or whatever, then I just go outside (love wireless & powerbook!).

Pft, be a man. Live with the sweat. My room was 26C yesterday at around 3pm, it was great. Although i did think of getting a fan, i decided against it
