We are not having another Dyson, for the same reason.

I know the stigma that comes with Dyson, including the absolute arse that is the company's founder. But... I've got to make the choices the market prices allow me to make.

Our Shark was cheaper than the equivalent Dyson, but I appreciate that where you are that might not be the case.

Getting a Shark after retiring the Dyson was a revelation, the amount of extra dirt n crap it pulls out of the carpet is boggling, Dyson just can not cut the mustard.

Due to staff shortage yesterday, management had to get hands on with the Bosch dirt picker-upper and the initial review was very positive. Only thing not tried yet is the hose-attachable "detailing" kit... because I can't find a hose...

Double-checked this, and they're pretty much exactly the same price for a smaller container size.

And, just for giggles, I looked at the German household name Vorwerk. Starting at 1K Euros. No, it doesn't come with a cleaning person to do the job for you. It definitely should, though.

I got the dyson v15 in a sale to replace a Shark don't remember the model but it just didn't do the job very well compared to the Dyson which so far so good.

James Dyson is a complete bellend but I'm sure most of us still use Amazon and the shiny star that is Jeof, if we're going by the morals and political views of the CEO of shops we would all be going hungry and wouldn't have so many creature compforts at home lol.

[edit]Found the shark even now its £300 apples to oranges it was 3x cheaper than the dyson but still wasn't great[/edit]

Some bits and bobs to mount a ZTE MC7010 outside. Inside though, yesterday I saw d/l speeds of over 60MB/s. Not too shabby!

    More tiny ships!

    NCC-1864 USS Reliant (Miranda class)

    obligatory

    NCC-1701-D USS Enterprise (Galaxy class)

The Reliant model is for me bruvver. Every time we look through the latest Master Replicas drop he mentions, without fail, how much he likes the Reliant. Master Replicas had a time limited 2-for-1 offer from a very limited range of tiny ships, so it was good timing. (And these ones really are tiny, no 'XL' models here - the Reliant is 11.5cm and the D is 14cm.)

The D is for me, of course, because I like getting the D it's the Enterprise D, fercrissakes...

EDIT: Screw it, bought two more, because it was £8.99 (plus postage) for the pair, so... why not

    Jem'Hadar Battlecruiser

    Federation Mission Scout Ship

This one's from Insurrection, in case it's not ringing a bell. It's the ship that Data is flying right at the start of the film when he

goes a bit doo-lally, and we get treated to Worf & Picard's rendition of "A British Tar".

After 9 years (or maybe more), my trusty Logitech MK710 is getting a bit senile. As well as enduring the occasional rage slam/smash that has left the mouse wheel free spinning and general wear and accumulation of dirt, the set also freeze for a second every few minutes or so, which can be extremely annoying if it's during a key press. Today, it caught me in exactly the wrong mood, so I've treated myself to Logitech's latest and greatest, with it intended to last for at least another nine years, like its predecessor.

Although in retrospect maybe I simply should've bought a new MK710, I didn't want to find out that it was due to some sort of unfixable driver issue (and yes, I uninstalled/reinstalled etc.). And I know it's specific to the MK710 as my other mouse (G700s) doesn't show the same issue.

Cheap setup to bench test my ARC A750 - been missing tinkering with it tbh and really want to see how much of a driver improvement there has been since I last used it. :)

Will be on a literal test Bench (BC1 Benchtable) and not at all overkill Noctua NH-D14 cooler.
