That it will. I wonder if we should, as mech nerds, all have a 'Carnival Cougar' avatar to commemorate the special occasion?

Whoa there... it was a joke, not even remotely a complaint (I thought all the exclamation marks made that pretty clear) and seriously, wtf is with that childish comment about my boards and caps? I thought this thread was for keyboard enthusiasts? :eyebrow:

Sometimes I read this thread and I've no idea what the fudge ya'll on about. Other times I just think if I asked what's going on I'll probably get an in depth and detailed explanation that would solve the ultimate question (of you're god, why that face), but I'd still be none the wiser.

Ya'll are dedicated to a cause, and I dig that.

Decided to order some more granite caps at the last minute. Managed to stop myself getting more than I need to cover boards, just picked up a numpad and the specialty keyboards kit, which should work nicely on the JD40.

Got a purple blacklit Ducky Shine III TKL.

Having not used MX blues that much instead having used MX Browns and buckling springs I can say that even with the noise I far prefer MX Blues over the browns. Especially considering the fact that TKL boards are rather small.

My only complaint is that I forget the numpad doesn't exist and that blues are still a tad softer than I would like. That said, They're not as stiff as Buckling springs still. Perhaps MX Greens?

Greens sound like the sweet-spot for you. I certainly enjoyed typing on my last greens board. It's a shame they are still relatively hard to come by, although probably marginally easier in the States.

Greens if you like the click. If thats not key to you, try clears or tactile grey is it's the bump you like and hanker for a heavier switch

I'd be interested to see how that turns out, actually. The only worry I'd have doing the same with my Poker is that the LEDs actually seem to produce a fair bit of heat... wouldn't want them irreversibly melted onto my switches :/

I'm going to be using the method that this guy used, so if any melting did occur (and it surprises me that your leds are hot), it'd be likely to be onto the cap which can be replaced.
