the idea came after the stories broke out about how much the international community promised in support (ca $10B), but actually the money haiti received has been much much less, don't know the actual numbers though.

$10 Billion in funds given, next to no progress made in cleaning up the mess from the earthquake (only about 5% so far) and masses still living in makeshift tent-towns....

Corruption is rife and make it hell for the people there.

Violence.... fine. A ridiculous body count..... fine. Automatic weapons.....fine. 20 billion billlion bullets on-screen at any one time..... fine. Swearing.... unacceptable.

 

1) The Expendables 2 is now going to be a PG-13 film after Chuck Norris stated that he would only agree to be part of the film if all the foul language was removed. He wants it to be accessible to younger viewers. Because gratuitous violence (one of the reasons I loved the first one) is much safer than the word fcuk.

2) He's a creationist and general christian nut. I am a scientist. This often winds me up insanely.

3) He believes that the MMR vaccine causes autism in children.

Chuck Norris of old is dead to me. His roundhouse kicks are ineffective, there is no 3rd fist under that beard and he can't see me even if I can see him.

As far as I am aware, there has never been a proven connection between the MMR vaccine and autism. Some people claim it, but not tests have proven it yet.

Wakefield is an awful man and should feel very bad about the amount of people that aren't vaccinated.

 

Took me a minute, then is was like doh!

 

Isn't that the office where those job interview took place,. where the employer didn't mind if you forgot your resume?

Everybody is the hero (and victim) of their own story. He actually believes he is right. The devastated parents who seek a reason for their child having Autism (preferably one that does not blame them) believe him too.

 

Waiting for someone to say:

"I'm twelve years old and what is this?"

 

I think there is a test?

 

If you read up on the whole scandal (the laboratory where the tests took place, the method he used to obtain samples and the ensuing media fury) really do make an amazing story.

Very sad that people still believe the hype, the media are just as much to blame.

 

I must be one of the 20% that doesn't have a f**king scooby doo - enlighten those of us fumbling in the dark please.
