Devices with largely integrated GPUs? Not much call for an AIB partner. I still think they're going to partner with AMD or Intel (eventually). EVGA would be a huge boon for either of them, so stating they have no current interest in working with them sounds like "come back with a better number".
I meant stepping into the discrete market. Highly unlikely at this point, but apple have done ok with sorting "their own" CPU out. If they can get a discrete GPU arm going and eat into the pc market it could be pretty lucrative for them.
Maybe they're going this way:- https://www.nextplatform.com/2022/08/25/china-launches-the-inevitable-indigenous-gpu/
Finally bagged a 3060ti thru Nvidia shop, a little disappointed I had to pay postage seeing as it's coming from scan and we normally get free postage but at least I have one now.
If you purchase via PayPal, you get stung for postage. At least, I do. Cracking card though, picked up one for my nipper from these hallowed forums.
Same, when I got my 3080FE last year. No paypal, just credit cards & finance. I think it's an Nvidia thing.
Dont know why i did then, maybe i need to ask scan why? On another note is my EVGA SuperNova G2 550 W Gold Fully Modular Power Supply Unit going to be enough for a 3060ti and a 3600 cpu?
Think I asked this question before and you confirmed but thought I'd ask again, belt n braces and all that. Didn't know what to expect from an FE card but it weighs a ton and feels like a beast lol.
3060 Ti Founders is rated at ~200W and the R5 3600 at 65W. Add a board, a few fans and SSDs and you're still around 50% rated capacity.
Sits there for a few minutes wondering why I can't get my pcie power cable into my new gpu then remember I read somewhere that it comes with an adaptor which i just presumed was your normal 6 to eight bin jobby but nope it's a special one. Ah well at least i get to ditch one more cable from my pc
With the launch of 40 series so close, and in a total shock to absolutely nobody, most of the 30 series Founders Edition cards are available. 3060 Ti, 3070, 3070 Ti, 3080 Ti and 3090 Ti. Bascially everything except the original 3080 and 3090.
Replace it with this one to ditch the adaptor too:- https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=100-NK-3000-B9
Considering where the 3090Ti was that looks a great price, absolutely no need for one but reckon this is going to still be strong against a 4xxx
