My first real attempt with new setup - 3200+ Winnie, MSI K8N Neo2 Plat, 2x256 BH-5, OCZ Booster. The CPU is holding me up at the moment, it restarts at 2600MHz even though the RAM is good for 270 2-2-2 1T 1:1... Unpatched btw, might have to do an SSE2 patch run later
my OEM winnie overclocked in an MSI K8N Neo Platinum. a DDR Booster pumping 3.6V through this OCZ PC3200 VX at 2-2-2 timings. might try to get a little higher over the next few days, im sure theres a few more MHz left in the VX. the cpu itslef ive had stable at 2.75GHz with 1.65V but i doubt the VX will ever do 275MHz. edit:why's the image not showing????im being a gimp n00b.
If you can get the HTT speed up high enough (300 on a 5:4 divider (166 maxmem)) should give you a chance to run higher cpu speed, and run your mem @ 250... Either that or feed the VX more volts, should be good for 270 on ~ 3.6-7v....
i aint no n00b. cheers for the input buddy. btw thats some awesome clock/pifast you got there. nah for some reason this neo2 dont like running asynchronous. e.g it isnt stable at 270x9 with the mem at 5/4 divider. gonna try the VX on more juice but think I will memtest 5 all night on these to burn 'em in.
im going to have to shoot for 29sec with you lot at it now are these patched benchies or unpatched benchies, either way, its best to post both of them to ensure fairness
please, it would be interesting to see the difference the patches make on different setups i may even start doing the table again and give it a massive overhaul if participation pipes up again (hint hint)
That's what http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=82733 was all about, I think When I get to seeing if all this burning in I've been doing has done any good (tonight I hope) I'll post up some patched/unpatched runs using Process Timer too.
There you go as above, mem 1:1 2.5,3,3,11 1t 2.8v. Should have used process timer on each of the runs, think the patched run was o so near to 29 secs... <edit> Which people seem to have ignored nudge nudge wink wink </edit>
may as well dump them all in here, it being a superpi thread and all get 27sec patched here you tried tightening up those timings a bit? still have a decent amount of voltage headroom at 2.8v speaking of timings, i may just be able to squeeze out an unpatched 29sec, as i can get my timings down to 2.5-2-2-5 now with 3.2v, previous runs were done at 3-2-2-6
Running TCCD Doesnt seem to want to run any tighter than that Higher volts dont help, and this mobo maxes at 2.85. Booster wont fit without removing the spreaders and this cpu hates it for some reason. The mobos maxed as well which is a PITA... Can get up to ~ 280 benchable with LDT 3 though but it means dropping the cpu speed.. More volts might help that tho... grr damn you and your voltage loving memory Reallly wish the CH5 in the other machine played nicely with this mobo and booster
im just having my fun with this EB before i spring on some PC4000 VX when im in the states in april Hopefully ill be able to get 2-2-2-5 regardless of speed at 3.45v, as that is as high as i can go without modding the psu (which i cant be arsed to do) or getting a booster (which i cant do because ive been giving a certain someone grief about being a n00b with a booster )
lol i cant remember 1.51 i think. didnt try at 4x LDT but will try later and let you know.cheers for the comments Oh tartan kilted one from the north.
just a quick run while i was at it.... this isn't SSE patched or anything http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v155/TMMTMM/35sec.jpg Winchester 3200+ @ 9*278 (1.56v~ btw, CPU-z read 1.4v no matter what ) Abit AV8 2x512 pc3700 kingmax @ 3-3-3-9 with a 5:6 divider cooling = stock..
