    dvd caddy

    hey all

well initially i was concerned where i would put this slot loading drive as there will not be enough room in the front drive bays as that is where all my cooling equipment will be housed. so i thought about maybe putting it on the side of this in some sort of caddy,

so this morning i quickly knocked this up out of an bit of orane acrylic

and here it is on the side, not fully mounted yet tho

just have to either resize the mounting holes on the drive now :D

    cheers

yeah read a lot of people have had this happen......................................... but im a bit stupid in my haste to get it done i rewired the pins wrong...blame my girlfriend for having the day of distracting me. still think there's a dodgy connecting as it keeps reving up and slowing down then reving back up again. but that is fixable!!!

In the video you can see that the warranty sticker is broken...
A little tip : when you plan to do similar works, heat the sticker with a phon...

    go go gadget gull wings!!!

    hi all

well today has been a productive day considering ive only been home for an 2hours in my lunch break i managed to get a few things done

PRE WArning! i need new metal file so if things seem a bit off dont worry!

ok well i started off by knocking up some supports for the gull wing doors today, these will be made out of steel or aluminium if time allows

and finally got the new blum hinges

    and fitted

i havent fitted to doors just yet as i need to make sure everything is 100% straight and level. last thing i need is a wonky door!

but did hold in place to give you all an idea off what i looks like. also when i have another set of hands about i'll take a shot of both doors

i also managed to mark and cut out the slot for the dvd drive today as well

showing mounted now (ignore the huge bolt sticking out)

    anf when conceled

still plenty to get sorted out but day off tuesday and weds:clap: so should get few things done then. want to get the power switch and dvd slot cut in front facia and finish sleeving psu.

Hope those doors have a quick release. Looks like it's going to be a bitch to work on if not.

Or he could just flip the case on its side and be done with it. I don't see any need to work on the internals of my rig when it's upright and in action.

    cheers for responses guys.

can understand how you think it'll be a pain to work with but when i do need to work with it will be at chest level so not to worried but it. plus they'll have a latch like a car bonnet to hold it open.

    anyway till next time
