Update 13

Hi,

I must apologyse for the pictures of this update, I usually use my father's camera but today he left it at his work , so I had to use another one.

UPDATE 13

Today I continued to work on the second phase, I made the back, the front and half the side, since I had no good camera I didn't take any pictures of my work, just the result.
I just put it together, I wanted to screw it together but I didn't have any screws left . For fixing the psu I'm gonna use a lian li psu bracket.







I put the fan and the rad to see how it look's:



I still have alot of bondo to sand down and some holes to hide.
that's all for today, I'm going to buy more screws and plexiglass on saturday for another update

UPDATE 14

Hi all !!

Update time !!! first of all, I still haven't recieved the rca and xlr connectors and I order some stuff yesterday so they will probably come on wednesday.

Yesterday I glued all the pieces together but not the left side :



I used the left side as suport for the front so I could get it straight :



Then I glued the piece that goes under the bottom :



then I glued the top :



I put the side on :



I did alot of bondo/sanding but I got realy bored after 2 hours , I still need to do a lot of bondo work.

then I put all the pieces together :







then I added the ccfl to see how it looks :

Nice lighting. I don't like it when you can see the actual light sources inside a case so this is done well.

Think you can give us an idea of how much this case weighs as of now?

it weighs 17.5 kg LOL

 

17.5Kg is nothing, my old chieftech dragon when fully kitted with 4 HDD 2 opticals, and watercooling weighed in at 26kg dry load, when filled with water it was about 27-28kg as it squeezed a massive rad and res in it! lol!

XLR and RCA

You've right, 17.5 kg is not that much, but it's still missing the psu, the water blocks, the coolant, ...

anyway, today I recieved the XLRs and the RCAs







but ther's a big problem !
The XLRs are too small they are only 11 mm big



and I don't realy know if i can use them

btw my current pc is 20 kg with no water cooling equipment

Nice design and good work! That doesn't look like it's made of wood, which is a good thing! Nice to see wood being used in DIY cases other than silent cubes..

You should really chamfer the upper right corner of the window. That will match the bolts and the woodwork perfectly
