be warned though. replacing a dash with a 'maybe armed' airbag is tricky and VERY expensive. Usually more than just replacing a blown airbag at up to $6000USD. Bomb disposal nasty.

So far everything is fine and they have started repairing it :thumb:
It is still possible the airbag is damaged but, from what they can so far (the dash is still on), it looks fine. Therefore, the insurance gave the OK to start repairing the car . I saw it today and the windshield is off. They now need to remove the whole dash and clean its inside as well as the air vents because they're filled with dust and glass. Then they need to replace the ceiling and the backseat.

Overall it should take quite a while before I get my car but at least 1) they're fixing it and 2) they lent me a 2011 Versa instead of the dreadful 2004 Sentra. I still can't wait to get my dropped Accord though ... I'm sitting almost as high as laurie drivers in the Versa :hehe:

they started working on the car. I'm far from getting it back because there are some parts that are back order. Minimum 3 more weeks (pure guess). If I'm right that means I will have been without my car for five weeks. Anyways, here's some pictures I took earlier today

I don't believe you have this model in europe. Trust me, the original suspension makes the car look like a freaking truck.

I mean, look how high that freaking thing is !!

That's an old pic with stupidly small tires. There were some Hankook 205/40/17 installed when I bought the car. I bought a set of Goodyear Eagle GT 215/45/17 the next summer and they fill the "hole" (not sure how to call this) even better than this.

If you still think dropping the suspension of this car is a bad idea then I have lost faith in all of humanity :thumb:

I like those tail lights! They are very early nsxish :naughty:
I don't like the new accords as much, your shape is the best one, but she'd look better if you dropped the front another inch - this would improve handling at low speeds, but things would slowly get worse the faster you go... unless you correct things with a camber kit and stiffer rear end :naughty:
The last decade has seen too many cars just get uglier and uglier :sigh:

I must have missed it, so who's paying for the repairs? I hope it's the road authorities :miffed:

guys guys guys... It's Canada... lowering the suspension, even a bit, would mean having your car stuck every 3m with the snow in winter. And with Montreal premium road, his ass would be bruised up in 5min of drive in summer.
