Not exactly sure what happened but fired the system up today for the first time and left it running for about 20 mins went to restart and the PSU is showing power to the board but nothing when i click the go button. Couldn't get it to fire up again so swapped it out with a Coolermaster 1300w SPH and all seems well apart from it not looking the part so not sure what to make of the Supernova but its due to go on show at a LAN in eight day and really wanted to run the Supernova Ultimate Power Control software on the 6" touch screen Anyway, its up and running now and starting to look a bit more like a computer
Panic over as EVGA managed to express me a new 1500w Supernova PSU which arrived Monday so got it installed and got the case all back together. 6" touch screen is currently running EVGA Supernova Ultimate Power Control software which looks pretty cool. So, the SR-2 will go to the ball.........plan on driving down to i50 on Thursday to get the booth set up in time for opening to the public on Friday, so if you're attending don't forget to call by. Finally, a few photo's of the finished rig.
Interesting, cheers Fingers - no mention of the 1500w in that statement but got to be to much of a coincidence to be anything else i guess
HAPPY MONDAY.....and apologies in advance for the thread revival I’m starting a new mod soon based around the EVGA X79 Dark motherboard but for the time being, i’m going to upgrade the graphics cards in this one with a couple of shiny new GTX780 Hydro Copper and LED Sli bridge as it’s this system that is making its way to Iseries on Thursday so basically tagging the info onto this thread rather than starting a new mod just yet. Anyway a few pictures of hardware and how the cards look in the Dark board along with some red Kingston memory before the cards get fitted to the SR-2. As always, a MASSIVE THANKS to EVGA
This is a prime example of an eternal build, the kind that is never truly done evolving. It just keeps moving with the industry, and has a habit of necromancing it's own build log... Wait, that last part came out wrong
I love this build! Been following it when I was a lurker, but honestly.. The deets you do in this, it's perfectly finished! I just can't believe I haven't heard about the iSeries before now.. And now i've booked a holiday over Easter! -.-" But I WILL see your mods of awesomesauce at the next one (hopefully)
An absolutely great weekend had by all at Multiplay i51 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry where i had the SR-2 system on the Coolermaster booth throughout the day then when the Exhibitor area was closed at 6pm, i moved it to the gaming area on the Parvum tables which was open all night so had maximum exposure even though it was tough on my poor ageing back Roll on the summer event to do it all again
Hello coolmiester! Very impressive build you have here. I have an proposal for you. I am an contributing editor for Czech online magazine PCTuning.cz and I would like to write an article summarizing last few months in modding community. I like your project and I think it could be part of the article. Would you be interested in this endeavor?
Coolmiester you have my dream machine. Those two EVGA are beautiful, and the GPU coolers are amazing. Congratulations.
