Hey guys, thought I would chime in here as I have a warthog HOTAS setup without the peddles. Unlike my good friend Parge I actually have some space, so I threw money at the situation and bought an Obutto R3volution.

The hard mounting for the warthog is superb, and I literally can not recommend it enough for anyone who is considering it worth the cost. What I will warn you about is that assembling it is a b*stard. Specifically the foot rest panel took a lot of brute forcing to screw to the frame.

I've also noticed throughout the thread that people use peddles in SC for Yaw? From my time playing, pitch/role on stick is SC is a guaranteed way to get splashed. I have pitch/yaw on stick, and roll on the grey thumb button. Strafes are on the hat buttons on the throttle. Once I was used to it, I found it a relatively fluid way of moving around, especially in arena commander where it's one giant strafe fight.

For those of us brought up on flight sims, yaw has to be on pedals as anything else doesn't work in your brain. Plus I really dislike the "turrets in space" feeling of pitch/yaw on stick.

The r3volution remains a lovely piece of kit, just takes up space!

I do take your point. If it's that ingrained it's a difficulty to re-train yourself. My advise though would be to try. PVP against someone using a mouse while you're pitch/rolling around is going to be a frustrating experience to say the least.

And the thing is massive, especially with the 3 monitors. I've had to effectively box in a cupboard in order to squeeze it in :D

    Of course.

You can talk about absolutely any joystick, throttle, pedals, cockpits, mounting systems or other gear you've got for simulator-type setups.

No, this thread is specifically for people with full sized joysticks.

Well... I thought mine was full-sized but now I'm not so sure. How big is yours?

Are there any FF joysticks left? I know Saitek made one for a while.

It's a shame. I run DCS World with Vive and vibration cushion. Would be nice to have control surfaces fighting back on pre-fly-by-wire aircraft.

I had a Logitech wingman force feedback joystick which was great until driver support died out with XP - after a few years in the garage I binned it! Wish someone would make a go of force feedback again though as it was great for flight sims but also there was a lightsabre demo mode that never got fully utilised in any games AFAIK!

Shame. I wonder if flight sims support FF joysticks? Since u can't buy FF ones now why would they continue with support?

Yeah the flightsimguys keep dusting off old ones on ebay. :D

They seem to run under Win7 and Win10...not so good under 8 and 8.1

You can go HOTAS FF with the Logitech G940 (good luck finding one) or "normal" with the Microsoft Sidewinder FF2

I'd be surprised if Linux flightsim "X-Plane" doesn't support FF.

I recently bought a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Precision in an Amazon Lightning deal for £24 to replace the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Precision I bought in 1997 which has had some buttons fail in the last few months.
