Reinstalled Mumble and it works fine now xD

 

hum, judging from server activity log and the amount of people leaving when gamemode changes, i think it's better to run the server with a consistent gamemode, people like to know what they'll be expecting. how about scrap the Map Manager plugin, implement a map voting plugin instead?




also Deadbolt and Draca, you two are exceptional players. as admins, may be when you two are on the same team, back off a bit. i was shocked to see the server being empty on Sunday evening when half an hour earlier had 20 players. i was given the impression that during Damavand Peak map after i left, it was very one sided with both tanks driven by each of you.

 

Its not our fault that their Engis couldnt hit me at all, and the only reason we had 2 tanks is they bailed out of theirs after being hit once

 

Its that, plus the excellent communications which goes on in Mumble.

 

no worries, just saying give loosing team a chance. (eg, give back a tank) otherwise all the randoms will leave and the server will be no fun to play on.

for example, when i feel im on a good team, i usually just spawn as a sniper or fly the jet, instead of going engie and capping points.

 

Sure, map voting sounds like a good idea; also perhaps keep some rush rounds in there as they are quite enjoyable on certain maps like Metro and Damavand Peak.

Also, on Battlelog perhaps it would be worth creating a second Custom PC & Bit-tech platoon as I didn't manage to join the original one due its maxed member limit. Pretty sure half those people don't even play BF3 most of the time

 

MUMBLE REUNION

Hello guys, I've had the idea to get all you old sods back onto Mumble for BF3, and return to the time back to BC2.

There will be no, no's and no maybes, you're all coming.

WhiteRider has already made a post on Aria and a lot of them are coming back, so you all should too!

@Wyx, thought about the Wake Island for a while, and as its voted for we may as well leave it in there and pay attention to the voting options more - I didn't even realise you could differentiate between Wake CQ and Wake Rush via the voting process! Will have a closer look next time.

 

the voting option says stuff like:
"/1 wake island (R)
/2 wake island (CQ)
/3 operation metro (R)
/4 caspian boarder (CQ) "

so don't vote (R) Rush maps until player count is higher than 10v10.


just give me a shout if there's any maps you guys would like to see on the server. currently there's Metro, Wake, Peak, Siene, and Sharqi for Rush, and most of Conquest large maps (except Op Metro and Gulf of Oman, Gulf of Oman is conquest small, with US starting on the beach)
