Award should go to Zoe Smith, just because. Plus she's hot. No, too much plastic surgery, he can barely sing now as a result. Didn't you see him in jubilee concert?
Yes, everyone did it for 1 GBP. And Landy_Ed, they missed pretty much the whole electronics music genre as well. No Faithless ? No Prodigy ? No Chemical Brothers ? Only Fatboy Slim ?
Considering so many played their part as volunteers, even a token payment is laughable. Re electronic music, we must have watched different opening ceremonies! Firestarter made a brief appearance, as did a few other dance tracks. And if mike oldfield isn't part of the electronic music genre I don't know what is! And pet shop boys? No, they covered a broad spectrum but in the timeframe I guess you can't stuff everything in there.
I'm a little late in posting this because it just ended, but the BBC ran an hour long look back at the games tonight. It's called "London 2012: A Golden Games" and was presented by Eddie Butler. Very well put together show - great editing with emotive music played over the cream of the awesome scenes from the entire 17 days, and very nicely narrated by Mr Butler. iPlayer is your friend [edit] Programme Info It was shown an hour later here in NI because the Ulster Grand Prix highlights were on. It was another tragic weekend for Irish road racing unfortunately

Yeah, there were also a lot of Olympic events and news covered in that one hour which I missed through the live coverage, 'watch again' and daily highlights. The disqualification of the two badminton teams and ejection of the boxing referee were two such events that I hadn't heard about before.

Dunno who gave me rep for my post, but thank you! Rep totally unexpected, & should really go to each & every participant of the games & related ceremonies! I would have chosen different tunes, and the coverage would probably been the worse for such choices! Both ends of the games left me short of breath, embarrassingly proud & shamelessly embarrassed at the same time. GB is a sweet & sour combination, let's not forget where/who we are.....but that's rather the point of our homeland. We're not so different than each other, but we're not each other and that's core to our heartbeat.
