    Currently listening to loads of Mode 7 stuff since I realised the other day I bought the entire audio collection when I got the previous Humble Bundle....

    Headphones were on.. they're just not brilliant.. Bass doesn't have the thump I can get from my sub.

    I've always considered Nightwish dead and buried to me, after they kick'd and changed the vocalist. Turunen was much better than the current vocalist. I really haven't even heard their "new" production after that, just enough to judge it :p

    I prefer their new stuff, Tarja's voice made me need to take a break every few songs. She was good, just a little high for my tastes.

    Nightwish without Tarja is better to me... Listening to the new single, I can't help but feel that they should stop trying to be epic and jsut be poppy instead... clearly that's their strong suit, and trying to be epic (by re-hashing old riffs and bad orchestral bits) makes them seem pretentious more than anything... IT worked with Tarja, but that's because she's the kind of woman that changed dressed 4 times a show, and always needed microphones to match the dress. That being said, I think they're coming right, now...
