Sub contractor came back to me lastnight with some updated renders of one of my concepts for Grandshift

seeing your work, YOUR work come to life like that is an unbelievable experience.

 

Just finished another night in the garage working on the race engine, came in and had a shower and am now sitting with my feet up watching the Belgian GP quali replay in Dolby 5.1 on a projector screen. This is what Saturday nights are for

 

Had an awesome night with family at a friend's house. Bought some new vinyl this morning. I also realised that I got stuck in my first ever traffic jam yesterday.

 

Watching Die Hard with Beer and Pizza...

 

Spending tomorrow afternoon with my three nieces and girlfriend and then coming back for a chilled evening.

This will be the first time I have to handle three kids at once single handed but I'm still excited.

Going to a local town fun day with them so it should be good

 

My old man's a beautiful human being. He came into some money a few days ago and last night announced he's splitting it in half and giving it to me and my sister. All he asked was that we invest it and not burn it on frivolities. It's a sizable sum, more than I make in a year!

At my parents sorting through some old stuff for them and came across my first PC - the thing that made it awesome was that it had the following sticker on the top from my first LAN event ...



i14, to my reckoning that took place in 2002 which mean I have been using the same alias for over 12 years...also still playing the same game I attended the LAN for in the first place....Counter Strike

I have not been to any organised LANs since i14 - most of my friends lost interest in gaming/computers but I have never stopped; think it might be time to have a look if there are any local LANs coming up soon I could go to.

Quite coincidental with it being i52 this weekend also I suppose...

Heh, they will never suspect me with a beige PC in tow... I mean, whoever thought beige was the best colour for PCs...do they even make beige cases anymore!

 

Back after spending the weekend working at Insomnia 52, such an awesome weekend. Working on the XMG stand. Met some awesome new people and hung out with some old friends I met at i51.

Can't wait till I get paid for the event, going to go on upgrades. Well a new monitor anyway.
